Looking for a new set of 2.1 speakers.

As the title says i need a new set of 2.1 speakers for my computer.

Has anyone tried this set or do you see any better sets at this price.

Im using for last 4 years a slightly different Z - series and for the money they are amazing.for little size they sound superb and powerful,with nice sound palette.from just looking on ones you linked I can say that they are a good build quality.however I'd pick a model where the L and R speaker has more speakers in them.would make a great difference in sound clarity.mine has 3 speakers in L and R.they are not 3-way,but they sound very clear.

If you wouldn't mind spending $150, the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 (http://www.klipsch.com/na-en/products/promedia-2-1-overview/) set pretty much crushes all other <$150 2.1 computer speaker sets on the market. Also, if there is a Best Buy near you they may have them on sale for $120 (I got mine last weekend there for that price).

A lot of members will recommend amplified studio monitors instead of 2.1 systems. You may want to look into those, but I think they'll run you a bit more.

THIS. I bought my Promedia's on closeout for $80 last year. Kick ass speakers. Far better than any 2.1 speakers I've ever heard. Subwoofer is pretty beefy too.

I'm broke but I asked my pop for $50 and picked up the Z523's from Newegg.
