I've been trying to overclock this processor since the first day I've got it, and it wouldn't budge much... I've overclocked it to about 3.3Ghz (220x15, stock=200x15) without messing with the voltage but anything higher than that will result in a crash (nearly corrupted Windows the last time around).

Even when I push the voltage to 1.4v, it doesn't seem to offer much more stability.

It also doesn't seem to make much of a difference if I use the ASUS Turbo-V tool or do it from the BIOS. Am I missing something here?

I'm using a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus cooler with ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO mobo. Temps don't go above 40 degrees Celcius on Prime95

You might want to check out the The AMD Phenom II OC'ers Club (http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=79551).

If I had to guess, since you are using your FSB and not having luck, your RAM maybe holding you up. My PII 940 runs 226x16 (3616) 24/7, and I can also run it 212x18 stable, but I don't bother. This is on stock volts.

What about your RAM or NB volts? You play with that at all? What about your RAM timings?

Already did. The post was too long and I'm very much a noob when it comes to overclocking, so I have no idea what settings to tune and what to push. My processor is not a BE, so the multiplier is locked upwards.

How do I know if my RAM is holding me back? What specs should I be looking at and what should I do to fix it?

RAM voltage was pushed to 1.65V while NB is at 1.275V. I didn't change any RAM timings. What do I need to do with the RAM timings?
