what do ye think is the best motherboard for overclocking the amd phenom ii x6, is there any cheapish motherboard better than these for overclocking? http://uk.asus.com/compare.aspx
I ONLY GOT THE M4A88M, and i can only overclock the cpu to 4.2:cry:

Like I said in your other thread, your motherboard is fine. You need to understand how to overclock instead of swapping hardware.

4.2Ghz is more than you need anyways. That's got to be heckishly overkill and if you push that chip much farther you'll fry it and other hardware.

well i moved it down to 3.9, but would those emulator be slow on only 3.9ghz
whats the maximum volts i should have on it too, its currently 1.475, but could i bump it up to 1.5?

1.475 seems like a good maximum voltage for your chip. Try pushing the clock frequency further on that voltage and see if its stable, but I wouldn't recommend pushing it to 1.5. Unless you want to risk damaging other hardware connected to it just to see how far you can go on volts.
