2011 will be one of the greatest years gamers will ever have(for me atleast), as you can see. There are lots of awesome games thats gonna be released in 2011.

Some are returning, but with all-new engines, some are returning, from a long Development hell, some are a continuation, of a great story, and some, are just too good to be true.

What 2011 game are you most excited for??? If you could only buy one? what would it be?

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Portal 2, Battlefield 3, Dragon age II, Mass Effect 3, Diablo III, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Crysis 2, Rage, L.A. Noire, Witcher II, Batman: Arkham City, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, Gears of War 3.

man if we're lucky we could see some teaser or trailer for the next GTA and even the next Half-Life(Source Engine 2 FTW!!!):rockout:

my pick is ESV: Skyrim. :respect:

None in that list.

For me it has to be Red Orchestra: Heroes of Stalingrad, is my most wanted game of the year :)

But if it has to be from those you listed. Rage

Portal 2 and Battlefield 3 stand out for me on your list.

Gears of War 3 is console only and Hosshuge doesn't do console.

Battlefield 3 for me

Skyrim and pirate DAII & Portal 2 :p

I am currently still stuck almost full time in Starcraft II, so I don't think I will buy any games this year, or at least until I stop watching so many anime and playing so much Starcraft II.

+1 on making it a poll.

BF3 for me

Portal 2, guild wars 2, and skyrim all about tie for second (but aren't even in the same league as BF3)

Well if its coming out this year, Planetside Next. Otherwise, Skyrim

BumbleBee
Mar 2, 2011, 04:33 PM
Homefront, Brink, Aliens: Colonial Marines, Shadows of the Damned, FEAR 3, Metal Gear Solid: Rising, Resistance 3, The Last Guardian, Journey, SOCOM 4, inFamous 2, Twisted Metal, I Am Alive, Dead Island, DmC, Hunted: The Demon's Forge, Silent Hill 8, Tomb Raider, Ninja Gaiden III, XCOM, Halo: Combat Evolved remake.

I would probably go with the game that has the most replay value. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim or Dragon Age 2.

Skyrim.
It's the game that is most likely to give me enough playing time to correct the situation that only allowed me to buy one game. :D

Portal 2. And I may be going out on a limb here but Diablo III does not interest me at all.

If I could get only one, it would have to be The Witcher 2. 16(?) different endings would surely keep me busy for a while.

I would have to say Diablo III, HOWEVER I'm still quite certain I'd be very disappointed.

Blizzards commercial Success has been STRONGLY at the cost of any soul or spirit that ever launched the company to where it is today.

The teams of pure digital magicians that turned out sheer magic Like Warcraft 2 - Starcraft 1 - and Diablo 1&2 are LONG dead and disbanded, replaced by focus groups, pixel shaders, & console retardation. There is no more magic. Just an unstoppable money machine that wants to rape your soul for cash & toss the bones on the heap.

I have a lot of hope for Diablo III *MIGHT* or *COULD* be - but I honestly do expect it to land up being a soulless sellout commercial white wash :\

Probably Dungeon Siege III, because Obsidian is making it. Obsidian(and old B.I.S.) games always seem to be good.

It would be a toss up between it and Daggerdale though, what one comes first ;).

Skyrim.

D3's probably going to be in the same ballpark of playtime if you do it with all 5 characters and take each to hell difficulty :D

Skyrim without a doubt. The TES saga is by far the one that always kept me playing for more hours without getting bored (even more than MP games), lots of things to do. That or the X Universe games (i.e X3: Reunion),sadly X4 is uncertain. :(
Thatnks to the amazing mod library you could keep playing those games forever.

Duke Nukem Forever, hands down.

I mean come on, he is a bad ass, and apparently he gets blowjobs and visits a glory hole at least once!

If I could only buy one, Thw Witcher 2.
But I will most likely end up buy Portal 2, BF3, DE:HR, Rage. I have never played any Elder scrolls games but maybe Skyrim if I have time.

Skyrim.

I've owned many games but the ones which I got addicted to were Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Fallout NV (in that order). I've been playing NV since date of release, unfortunately don't have time to play every day but I've clocked ~70 hours of gameplay, and I still haven't touched the main quest because I don't want the game to end :)

God there are too many good games to choose from. On the console side for me theres the upcoming Mortal Kombat game thats due out next month, then there is Gears of War 3 (huge fan of the series) and on the PC side theres Dungeon Siege III, BF3, Batman: Arkham City, Brink, FEAR 3, and Ghost Recon Future Soldier. Theres just too damn many to choose from.

Nothing wrong with sequels, as long as they are good games. Personally, I prefer good sequels over good new IP. If it ain't broken, why fix it? ;)

I find many times that the second game in a sequel ends up being the best.

Will be the only proper PC shooter since BF2, and will be the game that I upgrade my aging rig specfically for.

I find many times that the second game in a sequel ends up being the best.

And many times the sequal ends up sucking horribly.

I'll take good new IP over a good sequal any day. Of course, I'll take a good sequal over bad new IP...

Benetanegia
Mar 3, 2011, 01:28 AM
I'd take Half-Life 2 over GOW, or Mass Effect or Dead Space or think about any other IP released recently anyday. I'll take Skyrim over any other newly created RPG anyday.

Yeaa dammit! We need more co-op pc games!
