Hi Guys ive been a pc gamer for a few years now and im getting sick of having to splash cash on parts to keep up with the new games so ive recently bought an xbox and im gonna use that from now on so i wanna sell my desktop and i was wondering what u think would be a fair price for it?

i can see how much you PAID for it, but how much people are willing to give you for it........ take a long, slow, deep breath and clench :(

Still a fairly stout combo, to a person like me it would be worth $1300-1400US if everything is tip top. But that's just my ball park what I would take for that setup.

I'm pretty curious when you expected to need to upgrade from pretty much 3 5870's and an i7 975 or even a rough year in the future that your setup could not run a new game, 2014? 2016? 2018?:p
Really though the value of that setup would vary greatly depending where you wanted to sell it and the age of it all

Ah, you are one of the guys who want to be at the bleeding edge of computer tech and complains that its too expensive to game on a pc :/ Warranty from OCUK is going to decrease the value, rather than increase it because OCUK is a bitch to deal with when it comes to warranty, or so I have heard.
BUT, that is not the point of this thread, so I am going to give my estimates (based on Scan)
£250 for 5870, £450 for 5970 (based off 6990)
rampage extreme II is no longer on sale, but the III version is £281, so I say about £230
i7 960 costs £224, so I take it as £270
Dominators go for £150
Black goes for £70
case £130
PSU probably about £200
H50 £50
Totals about £1800
So I would say if you can sell above £1200 I would be very happy.
Bear in mind that games on the PC and on Consoles are rather different, and you will still need a rig for normal stuff like facebook etc.

Nah, you just need to be around long enough. I doubt that you will find buyers here though, because there are too few UK people here.

You just have to be a member for 14 days (you got that covered) to sell stuff on TPU. Just make sure you have a good read on the rules etc.
IMO the stuff will sell, just might take a few weeks. I'll be visitng your thread, that's for sure ;)

When I sell stuff, I usually just to 50% of what I paid for it originally. Of course, it depends just how old your stuff actually is!
I would just try to configure a similar build online and then discount it from there. This would probably be the simplest option.
