I have the 11.10 V3 , but the driver packaging is 8.901.2-111016a-126966E-ATI ..maybe because the final release is WHQL?

Download AMD Catalyst 11.10 WHQL drivers for Windows XP / Vista & 7 here.

The 11.10 WHQL software suite updates both the AMD display driver, and the AMD Catalyst Control Center / AMD Vision Engine Control Center. This unified driver has been updated to provide enhanced level of power, performance, and reliability.

We have a forum discussion thread open here.

Driver Features:

Reduces random crashing and stability encountered when playing Rage on Windows® 7 32-bit edition
Reduces object / animation flickering and texture corruption encountered when playing Rage
Reduces stuttering seen on Dual CPU and Tri CPU core systems
Improves performance in Battlefield 3 Open Beta release for both non-Anti-Aliasing and application enabled Anti-Aliasing cases on single GPU configurations using the AMD Radeon™ HD 6000 and AMD Radeon HD 5000 series of products.
Improves performance in Battlefield 3 Open Beta release for both non-Anti-Aliasing and application enabled Anti-Aliasing cases on AMD CrossFire™ configurations using the AMD Radeon HD 6000 and AMD Radeon HD 5000 series of products.
Improves performance in Rage on single GPU configurations using the AMD Radeon HD 6000, AMD Radeon HD 5000 Series and AMD Radeon HD 4000 series of products.
Reduces intermittent crashing seen loading levels in Rage
Reduces flickering of NPCs in Rage
Enables automatic Vsync for Rage
Enables support for AMD Eyefinity 5x1 display (portrait and landscape) configurations using the AMD Radeon HD 6000 and AMD Radeon HD 5000 series of products.
AMD Vision Engine Control Center: User Interface enhancements have been implemented for the AMD CrossfireX™, GPU AMD Overdrive™ and Information Center pages.

meh...will try this later, for now I have to play High Settings on my single 5850...why are they saying BF3 Beta when Beta is over?

Preview 3 and the WHQL are essentially the same, probably just that these are digitally signed.

Perhaps "beta" refers to the driver rather than the game.

I don't think it was a "random" mistake... these guys should and are more "precise" when state the driver improvements... More like a "political correct" way to declare.. "Guys.. you should wait for the next 11.11 previews or 11.11 WHQL drivers if you want to see improvement (performance and stability wise) in BF3..."

I'd agree in saying these are the same as Preview 3...seems like they're the same notes IIRC.

I am going to try now. I get that I can't run AA on max because it uses too much VRAM, but when I go onto Auto, it sets it on 2x AA , so it's still there. But, what makes me scratch my head the most is, I can play Ultra everything on single player, but when it comes to multiplayer it lags. So, whatever it may be, I hope they can fix it.

I am a little dubious about it being completely fix. Anybody remember the headaches from BFBC2 when it came out? 10.3 and all the hotfixes

alexsubri:

Need Multiplayer benchmarks for CPU.

The Multiplayer is totally CPU bound and benching Singleplayer does not reflect this.
In Singleplayer I can overclock my 5970 and gain 20-30fps and running 99% on both GPU cores. 70% usage on CPU.

In multiplayer it is the opposite, no gain at all from overclocking GPU and only 70% GPU usage. CPU usage 100% on all cores.
