well i was trying to adjusts clock settings using RBE to get some extra boost on this crappy card until my brother came and messed around the RBE Tool while i was away. He said he only changed the "Video Card" under "Vendor ID" information as it was showing as "unknown". he then flashed the card, rebooted and boom my card now is not recognized well by the system.

shows as Standard VGA.. i tried to flash it back to original using atiflash tool but im only getting "No adapter found" error. i did some research here and tried the pin 1-8 method..

removed the card
connected pin 1-8 (Pm25LD010 was the number indicated on the chip)
re-installed the card
used the IGP as my main display
boot to dos and used atiflash
"No adapter found" error

I can boot and use the card as my main display. the only problem is atiflash cant recognize the card anymore except for GPU-Z. RBE can still acquire the bios from it but I cant flash or even use the "force flash" option as they are greyed out. ATIWinflash can't recognize the card as well..

is this card screwed for good? i hope not. im broke as hell these days. HELP.. 911.. :(

not knowing the Motherboard mdl I'm going to say that alot of MB's disable the pci-e slot when using the IGP you should try a pci vid card as your boot to dos to see if atiflash can 'see' the card then the 8-1 pin method should work

oh my bad... the motherboard is Intel DG41RQ.. I could also use Asus P5KPL-AM SE.
that pci vid card is going to be a tough one to find..

as for the rom chip, did i use the right one? the 1-8 pin connection doesn't seem to have made any effect.
could the 3-8 connection be helpful on this case?

hey thanks much for the pdf. i'll take time to read on this... Somehow i managed to fix it just now without the need of PCI vid card. I did the fix using the Intel mobo i mentioned above.

i initially have 1 + 8 + 3 pin connected.. at first power on.. no post and i get 2 short beeps.
i decided to remove the card first.. booted the pc using IGD.. set the IGD to initialize first on boot.
turned off the pc.. installed the card.. cut the 1-8 pin connection temporarily.. booted the pc..
as expected atiflash cant detect the card.. turned off the pc.. reconnected the 1-8 pin.. booted again.. and this time atiflash detected the card.. disconnected the 1-8 pin connection again.. and the flashed the original bios successfully.

now after i got the vid card back to working condition... i forced install the ATI Radeon 5570 driver by updating the display driver (originally AMD Radeon 5500 Series). i did this because for whatever reasons... the Overdrive feature on CCC doesn't seem to work.. and now it does using the ATI Radeon 5570 driver. i'd take my chances of getting at least a 50Mhz increase on the GPU. the memory clock is what seems to be locked since a little increase (667Mhz -> 680Mhz) would already make the system unstable or artifacts begin to be visible along with constant flickers.

this is really a sad HD 5570.. yet some "experts" from Sapphire tells me there's not much of a difference in terms of performance compared to the "real" HD 5570 on Redwood.

tried to make some memory frequency mods on the bios... nothing works...
do you by any chance have some bios mods for this card (specifically for TURKS Gpu)?
