Has the ATI Tool been tested or designed with consideration to the new G80 graphics card?

No offense, I understand your response.
But my first question is who is the author of the ati tool.
And now, i ask a second question: Is the ATI tool a reliable way to
determine if your Nvidia G80 is artifacting?

The author is W1zzard
erm designed for G80... tested with it....
1. ATi tool isn't exactly new so G80 not even considered in original coding
2. G80 has only just come out... willing to test it with a G80 for us :p
Some of its features can work with Nvidia cards such as scanning for artifacts. Dunno if it works 100% with dx10 hardware though.
Plus i repeat what was said before... its called ATiTool emphasis being on ATi
EDIT: Always remember using AtiTool is at your own risk, if your stupid and fry your card its your own fault (only a bad craftsman blames his tools)

Hi Wizzard,
I just got 4 8800GTX's are they are NOT artifacting in games, but i run your tool, and it artifacts like crazy.
The GPU architecture is completely different, and is mutlthreaded core. I realize, everyone says it is a ATI
tool. But is it safe to put a lot of stock on the tool?

the artifact scanner should work, regardless
are you running fraps? cuz that gives me false positives

does the temp readout seem reasonable? (between 70 and 100C load(=long time of running fuzzy dice)?

Try using the old method of artifact scanning.

<--- author :)
i assume nvidia is doing something to the rendered image, which affects the rendered output so pixels are slightly different each frame
