Wow finally Intel has released their 64Bit CPU!

Go here (http://www.megagames.com/news/html/hardware/intelenters64-bitcomputing.shtml) to read what Megagames had to say about it.

In fact, they have a pure 64 bit CPU, it's called Itanium. In adition the Nocona has been released some time ago, which has EMT64 just like the P4.

So it's nothing new :)

This is their first 64-bit *desktop* CPU, but from what I've seen, it's not particularly impressive. The AMD64s beat these "new" P4s in just about everything, except maybe in overclocking capabilities.

Encoding is still Intels territory.

True, previous 64bit CPU's were workstation/server chips.

I already got an AMD 64 anyway, so whats the point in getting an Intel - they cost more and aren't as good. Intel took too long on this one.
