Hi
i have now an ati x600 pro 256 pci express , updating drives can improve the quality of games( run more fast )?
sorry i'm a novice ..or it's better use atitool??

O yea if you can find any drivers for your video card install them it will improve everything

i did try atitool , but i can't overclock my card ! it goes in crash every time!

You must remember to uinstall the old drivers before installing new ones. Use driver cleaner to make sure you get rid of all existing drivers, www.drivercleaner.net
Also, use a benchmarking tool like 3D Mark03 or 05 to see if any improvements are made when you install new drivers.
After you've installed your new drivers, then use ATI Tool and find your max core aswell as your max memory speeds. Run each for about an hour.
Remember that better cooling = better overclocking results!

and for my x600 what kind of file should i download to update the drivers?
ps i thought the new drivers improve the hardware and some software problmes and are not for games
i'm a novice :)

newest driver is cat 5.4 from ati

because i found so many type of video card....

omg the ati cards in the moment match all the catalyst 5.4
my x800 youre x600 all cards go with this driver
omg........
just clean your system with driver cleaner and install from ati homepage catalyst 5.4
