Internet slows with new router

hi there, just lately I have purchased my self a new D-link DI-524. However, once i connect it to my PC's my cable internet connection drops to about 3kbs. When i have a direct conenction from my pc to the modem i have normal cable internet speeds, any idea whats going on here?

What program are you using to download? The ports are probably not opened up on your router ;).
