anyone been playing the game yet? ive been bored so ive been playing it. its pretty lame. the graphics are pretty nice. driving is pretty nice, but it seems like it is the same thing over and over. do a few races, win some cash, upgrade your car, do a few more races, get some new tracks, buy a new car, do a few more races and repeat. games these days are BORING.

Sorry, I guess in the end it all comes down to peronal opinions. I personal like NFS Prostreet and don't mind the facts its the same concept as the other ones. As long as the Graphics are improved its just another entertaning NFS game to me.:)

there is no creativity behind crysis. it is just run from one place to the next killing people.

i hardly play games, but when i do i expect to be entertained. i guess i just havnt found a game (since medieval 2 total war) that i could actually become emgrossed in.

Sounds like you have a problem more than any of the games you play do. :/

Why not give Super Mario Galaxy a go? ;)

As much as it can be a little bit too easy and is somewhat childish, you can't deny that it's got some original ideas in it.

i dont mean to sound like an ass. maybe it is because im "older" (not really im only 27.) ive been playing video games since i was 6 on the PC and the nintendo. maybe i am getting old and these types of games are no longer any fun. i really like strategy games though like medieval 2:total war. any other older guys on here in the same boat?

Just played the game.
Runs smooth on my rig.
But I don't like the handling and it's not as entertaining becuse of the lack of free roam.
Whats up with the grip challenge, what a boring idea.
Stutters on my brothers rig with 8800GTX Vista 64 & 4GB RAM.

I won't be buying prostreet though, I don't think its good enough.

I'll just wait for Codemasters GRID to come to PC
The game looks very impressive IMO.

I found NFS Prostreet very boring. Tedious, even.

Most Wanted was more entertaining. Pro Street isn't that exciting. It's the same events over and over again, the drifting one doesn't make much sense as far as the driving goes and the driving model isn't that great. How about an NFS: Most Wanted 2?

How about an NFS: Most Wanted 2?

I'll second it only if it's better optimized.
I get good fps in MW then come up to certain areas. .1/2 sec pause to load data. .then back to the same fps again.:wtf:

IIRC MW was EA$ first attempt at freeroam.

i really like strategy games though like medieval 2:total war. any other older guys on here in the same boat?

Nope I'm 27 I played computer games since I was 7 and I hate total war II, I tried to play it but it's just not my thing.
Civilization IV & COH is the closest I get to strategy games.

I still love driving games, I have older friends with family and kids who play V8 Supercars 3 on thier LAN everytime they can get away from thier children.

What about NFS: Underground 2?

I didn't recall correctly:p

Seems so long ago.
I have Underground 1 for PS2 covered in dust.

Underground 2 had no cops, so what was the point of the free roam in that? It was so damn boring. You raced a few people and then all of a sudden the streets were deserted and you had to do another 20 races + 5 stupidly long and pointless URL races to get anyone to start appearing on your free roam again.
I'm intrigued to buy Pro Street just for the Cosworth honestly, I would give my left nut for one of those beasts.

Always expect the unexpected. in this case you expected to be entertainted, but you didn't expect to not be entertained...

What about NFS: Underground 2?

Most Wanted was their first freeroam that didn't suck, then again Porsche Unleashed had some free roaming but it was only an alright game. Underground was a crappy series. Before that High Stakes was probably the best in my book until Most Wanted.

I bought it, and I have to say it's the worst NFS IMO, and I've played virtually all of them (including the first ever one). It's like they've just tagged pretty graphics onto a shite game....oh wait, aren't most games like that now?

I actually reinstalled NFS Underground 2 and I'm playing that again because it's a hell of a lot more fun. I'll install MW when I'm finished and play that too, even if the reliance on cops annoys me to no end.

Woah Mama!
Dec 4, 2007, 07:59 AM
Yeah man the cops are so damn slow in Most Wanted. I've been playing Carbon a bit more lately because the cops can at least try to keep up.
