Hey everyone, I just did a fresh install of Windows, due to random shutdowns with my new card, which seemed to fix it so far. What is the best thing to do with this thing (Hotfixes, Bios flash, mods etc.), and where in the heck do I find the hdmi audio driver for it, since <!>'s in my device manager drive me nuts! Before I re-did XP, Windows udate, installed the driver for me, now it doesn't show up, and I can't find the bugger anywhere! Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.:toast:

hdmi driver is on ati's site (amd game). just install it, and if you arent using it just switch in control panel to whatever audio you are using. you should also probably hit up the catylist suite from amd too, latest is version 8.3

the audio driver is included in the catalyst package.

edit: for vista it is anyway.

That is a bit odd, installs directly when I install the catalyst under xp also...
If you don't use it, just disable the device :)

the HD audio driver is on the disc...start it as usual to run to install drivers...do a custom install...then untick every option to install. on mine the audio driver then shows checked....go ahead and let it install audio...done.

Dont forget to go to audio properties and switch back to the realtek drivers or whatever you are using currently. When you restart windows will run the ATI sound automatically!

Thanks for the link and info so far guys. :toast: The card I got came with no disk. Not even a brand name. I can't believe how slow the fan was going when I was re-installing windows today! That card was blazing hot. RivaTuner fixed that though.;) So... how do I get this core over 800mhz?:)

The bios wont limit you to 800mhz. If ati overdrive is, use rivatuner. If you want the voltage increased,

heres an unlocked (lets u go above 857mhz) with 1.327v set in BIOS. I think default clocks are set a bit higher as well 750/900 or something. Its the one i edited to my current clocks.

edit: its a 256mb pci-e version bios
