Can someone tell me what's a good modem to play on-line with Playstation 2?
I have to make a direct connection to the web so i need an ETHERNET modem.
I have the Network Adapter yet and my connection speed is 4.8 MBit/sec.
I've tried with the D-LINK DSL-300T but with no success. I've spent so much time to configure it but the modem still not work with PS2.
Can you help me to find another way?

So, can you tell whether the PS2 is connecting to the modem at all?
If youre using a router-
Plug the ethernet cable from your DSL/Cable modem into the "uplink" or "internet" port of your router/switch/hub, and then plug your PS2 into one of the other ethernet ports. Do the same for any other computers.
You shouldnt have to set up anything, routers/switches configure themselves.
-Modem- This plugs into a wall jack, and translates the phone or cable lines signals into your internet service. This can be plugged directly into any one device, because they generally only have 1 ethernet port.
-Router- This takes the line from a modem, and lets multiple devices use it.
-switch/hub- This is just a networking device to connect multiple computers, they are both kind of the same, except a hub is a "dumb" switch that doesnt have a built in firewall, and tech that prevents it from crashing, and other neat things. Dont buy a hub, unless its very cheap.
You dont have to use a "router" to have multiple devices on the internet, you can use a switch or hub, but you may need to get into the router/hub and set some things up.
Generally a router will designate itself as 192.168.1.1 so if you type that into a web browser, you get to its configuration page. Looks like a website, but its on your router/switch/hub.
