NFS UNDERGROUND no screen

HI GUYS!!
This is my first post to this forum .
Hi to all.
i have asus P4VP-MX mother board 128DDR Celeron 1.8 GHZ, i have a problem that when i try to play NFS underground my screen goes to black only i can listen the sound of game?
why its hapenning can some one help me.

I think the videocard is more interesting than your mobo/cpu. Try updating videocarddrivers. Or post more specs.

actually i have Celeron 1.8 with ASUS P4VP-MX mother board and 128DDR ,win98 and WinXP SP2, underground giving problem i think my pc is not enough for NFS underground but when i play GRAND THEFT AUTO VICE CITY and midtown madness these games not woking smoothly there are breaks or jerks during playspecially during high speed of the car.
whats the prob? i have tried to change graphics apertures but no result.
can some one help me?:banghead:

it sux 2 run on celeron,anyway i had the same problem trying 2 run it on ati 9600
works perfect on X700pci-e. (the problem u got its named CELERON,not a gaming cpu):slap:

well, if it's NFS: underground you're looking to play, then what i'd do if i were you is first to get a GRAPHICS CARD, and STOP using that onboard chip, onboard graphics are usually pretty worthless when it comes to gaming.
even a cheap-o 128mb radeon 9600 pro like mine can run NFS underground and underground 2 with decent setting and decent framerates.
also, i would drop in some more RAM, 128mb is pretty much nothing when it comes to system RAM nowdays.
that should pretty much let you play NFS:UG and UG2 without much of an expense and with decent visuals and framerates.
but if you're looking to making a gaming machine then you'd definantly be better off just building a new PC.
celeron's definantly arent cut out for gaming.

today i bought "ATI RADEON 9250" 128 MB 64 BIT. its working well in win98 but in my XP :(
the CATALYST is not working.
when i click CATALYST: the HD light blinks for some seconds and no result.
when i run CATALYST WIZARD: its says "may be runtime is not available"
when i try to restart runtime: no result
whats the problem.
should i removed my all motherboard graphic drivers ( VIA S3prosevege ) etc?

first of all, yes, try removing the graphics drivers from the old onboard chip you have, also, go to the device manager in my computer and rightclick on your old graphics adapter and click remove, and also check in your BIOS if there is a way to disable the onboard graphics completley, there usually is in boards with onboard graphics. or at least there should be.
secondly, try download the softmod drivers from the techpowerup.com main site, i found them to be somewhat easier to work with than with the regular ATI drivers.

thanks for reply...i realy realy thanksful to u, i want to ask u what is GUART bcoz my RADEON cd manual guide says : "it is very important to replace your previous chipset graphics drivers, please contact www.viaarena.com for VIA chipsets and download GUARTdrivers for best performance of your new AGP card."
i could not find any GUART thing in www.viaarena.com.
whats this thing.
now CATALYST is working but i am thinking to change it from techpowerup web site's ATI software.

now catalyst and guart problem in solved. but a new problem :P
1.should i leave all the catalyst settings on default modes? or should i customize some of them for best performance?
2.the motherboard APERTURE SIZE settings?? whats the best value? i have 16mb to 256 apersize.
3.when i try to install mostwanted or underground2from alcohol its give error on cd3 that FILE MOVIES_06_......... is not copying .. tryagain or cance installation?i need help
