What's the cheapest mboard that will support a phenom II (720 BE) that has on-board video and supports 8gb PC6400? no oc ability is needed
cheaper = better (but don't forget bout quality)

I don't know about prices because I'm from the UK, but the Foxconn A7DA-S is one of the best "cheaper" boards available in the UK.

Supports 720BE (I've overclocked that to 3.48Ghz on this board, it will go higher), it supports 8GB of RAM running at 1066Mhz (PC8800) and it's really good quality.

I second the foxconn. I got one running the ph2 x3 720 at 3.4 and my ram is at 1066. The bios is a lil wierd to overclock with but you get used to it. Definitely go with the foxconn.

The 780G chipset is very good. Even for overclocking. Try and get one with SB710, ASrock makes some awesome ones along with others

I've used that one in a build, got a X3 710 to 3.6ghz pretty easily

Here's another good one.

Biostar TA790GX comes in less than £80.00 - you will always regret a cheap mobo

The BIOS on the A7DA-S is much cleaner and easier than one the A79A-S ;)

Sorry to semi-take over your thread, but I just wanted to ask around as to which board would be better between the two without having to make a whole new thread.
