I am having a strange problems with my 8800GT here they are
fuzzy lines in screen at random at desktop.surfing, gaming, benching, folding, etc
crashes when gaming sometimes (even at stock speeds)
has to be underclocked for the problems to go away (underclocked to 315/800/800(CSM)

things i have tried
new drivers
different moniter
upped fan speed(idle temp ~57c gaming/benching load ~68c)
updated card BIOS(Bios provided by BFG)
updated mobo bios
run in PCI-E 2.0 8x
different mobo
ran card on its own PSU
put additional fans around the card(one blowing on back, one on VRMs)

Anyone have any other ideas i haven't tried? I think the card is on its last leg(hope its not yet till i get the money for a better one)

As mad a putting your 8800GT in the oven is, you could try it. That or an RMA.

It could work. Here's the mechanics behind it: if there are solder points broken on your video card, if you put it in the oven at a low temperature, it won't harm the card but it would be enough to meld the solder points back togeather, thus fixing it.
