https://www.humblebundle.com/

Anything you want get you:

Psychonauts
Costume Quest
Stacking

$8.39 or more:

Brütal Legend
Some "Windows Prototypes", and I don't know what that means. Demo, beta, alpha? Anyway those titles are:

Autonomous
Black Lake
Hack 'n Slash
Spacebase DF-9
The White Birch
Custome Quest
Happy Song
Brazen

$35:

Broken Age, also known as that new Kickstarter-projekt they got funded also known as Double Fine Adventure.

Now this thing is worth it because of Psychonauts alone, which is EXCELLENT. I mean seriously it's even better than that. I'll get it so I get Brütal Legend so I have something to play when/if my computer gets a bit upgraded.

Again, late, but a day left!

The guy also told me about Plasma TV's. I'm unfamiliar with Plasma's. He directed me to one that was 600hz 50" with a reasonable price. Is 600hz an overkill? Will game perform better? I heard that it was just a marketing scheme.

I know installing wireless should not be this difficult but for whatever reason Im having issues. I dont know if its because im really tired today and my brain is scrambled or what.

Basically we (I) are/am trying to get this old D-Link router installed back onto the network (not sure how long ago it was on this network) so that way we have wireless in the building. Eventually we want it on all 3 floors but doing the middle floor first (thats where Im located). I have tried resetting to factory defaults so I can access the web gui but to no avail. I cannot use the CD that these things come with either as it has an easy Wi-Fi setup thing on it because my computer refuses to read the disc. Even when i copy the exe from the cd to my desktop, it refuses to launch it.

I tried having the router plugged into a switch via the #1 port on the back. Nothing
I tried having my computer connected into the router which in turn is connected to the switch. Nothing
I have tried plugging an ethernet cable from the switch to the internet port, a cable plugged from the router to the computer, nothing.

Nothing i seem to do will allow me to access the routers interface to setup the wireless on this thing.

Anything you guys can suggest for me to try? My brain is fried right now. :banghead:

Thanks

Hi,
I'm having an issue with my desktop.
This morning i start up my desktop and see the yellow little thing on my internet icon.
I have plugged all cables out and in but nothing changes.
My desktop is connected trough a Apple Airport Express. This express is connected to a TP-Link
This one i think. http://nl.tp-link.com/products/details/?model=TL-PA211

Now this morning the Express had a marble light.
I have plugged the ethernet cable in my laptop to see if it is my desktop or the airport.
When i plugged it in, the laptop recognized it and had a small problem : only local internet. But i know that this is not a big problem.

When i plugged the cable back in the desktop suddenly the light on the Airport was green, but a while later it turned marble again.
On airport utility it shows that my Express is not found anymore.

Does anyone know how i could fix this?

Desktop: Antec 1200 with Asus motherboard and a Windows 7 x64 ultimate (not genuine)
PS: i'm from belgium, if this could be of any information.

Hi Folks,
I've updated/installed CCC many times in the past but this time I got a bad result when I tried to open CCC.

I ALWAYS uninstall the old CCC, then go through the whole search for ATI and/or AMD folders and delete them just as out lined in one of these threads, (and many others), including the whole 'regedit' bit.

I have an Intel based system so I delete ANYTHING that has ATI or AMD as a folder name. Then I run CCC and then I install the new stuff, (13.5 Beta in my case). But I get this when I try to open:
"Could not load file or assembly ‘CLI.Implementation’ or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified."

I did not uninstall TRIXX but I did set it to the default of the card, (7850PE). I'm about to try going through the entire process again but it'll be about 30 minutes before I do.:banghead:

If anyone has a suggestion they think may help, please let me know.
Thanks, Rich
PS, I'll be uninstalling TRIXX and I guess I'll have to uninstall Radeon Pro as well to make sure there's no interference with them.:shadedshu

I wasn't sure if this post should go in the General Software sub forum or General Hardware, so forgive me if its in the wrong place.

I'm having problems installing some hardware on Windows 98se. I don't have a problem installing expansion cards, but whenever i go to install a USB device i get the above error. I'm trying to get a USB keyboard that doesn't work with PS/2 and a mouse that doesn't like PS/2 either to work on my Belkin USB 2.0 PCI card. I've got a fair idea of why they won't work on PS/2 and its out of my hands. The PCI card is not the problem because the onboard USB does the same thing on this machine and USB flash drives work fine on both. I'm trying to install generic drivers so it should not be a problem. I've had problems before and after installing the unofficial SP3 update. In the past i've tried clean installs of windows.

The reason i'm bothered now is because i want to get my old K6-2 500mhz rig set up permanently. I'm having to use my Zowie Celeritas with PS/2 (i use PS/2 on my main rig) to navigate windows on that machine.

The driver is there in SP3 which is located in the precopy folder in /windows/system, i've tried extracting the exact file i need but it still refuses to find it and wants to use a different path.
Also i do have the Windows 98se install CD, but that doesn't help.

Until now, there was only one chassis with the name Coolcube, but Cooltek is expanding the range by adding a Coolcube Mini- and Maxi version. Both new Coolcubes come in black or silver and are made of aluminum. The larger Maxi variant, which we will look at now, is a mATX chassis that has been constructed as compactly as possible.

Packaging

Just like the smaller version, Cooltek ships the Coolcube Maxi in a plain, white cardboard box with blue and black print on it. You will find an image of the chassis on the front and a blow-up diagram on the back, while the sides go into greater detail about its specifications that also let the user know what color is inside the package.

Foam spacers keep the 2 kg light case in place within the box, and a plastic bag protects it from scratches and fingerprints.

Contents

Cooltek ships all the necessities with the Coolcube. These include a very simple manual and all the screws necessary to fill the chassis to the rim. You will also receive motherboard spacers and special screws for the installation of fans within the chassis.

A Closer Look - Outside

In terms of design, the Maxi variant looks just like its smaller brethren. This is also due to the simplicity of the design that is easily enlarged or shrunk. The anodization quality is quite good, and all the parts fit together flawlessly.

You will not find any external drive bays within the case, which some may sorely miss. The chassis is meant to be used as a small but potent digital-media server or, if you feel so inclined, gaming machine. The rear has the large opening for a standard-sized ATX power supply along with four expansion bays, making the Coolcube Maxi suitable for mATX motherboards. An air vent on the main side of the chassis gives fresh air a way to enter, while the other side is completely solid. You will, however, find two USB 3.0 and the usual pair of audio connectivity here. I would have liked to see a card reader as well, but that can be forgiven considering the affordable price tag.

Unlike our previous, smaller Coolcube sample, the logo on the Maxi version is perfectly aligned, right below the round power button. You will not find a reset button anywhere and are forced to use the 4-second push mechanism on the main switch to turn your system off, or will have to resort to pulling the power plug.

Taking a closer look at the rear, the four expansion slots are protected by individual covers that are each held in place by a thumbscrew. You may also install a total of three 80 mm fans in the rear if you wish. Due to the PSU's placement, the CPU cooler's height is limited to 120 mm, which is plenty for a good low-profile unit. You should have enough choices to find the one that fits your needs.

While the smaller Coolcube allowed for multiple drives to be installed on the floor of the case, the Maxi has mounting holes for either a single 2.5" or 3.5" drive there.

A Closer Look - Inside

Simply remove the four screws holding the side panel in place to gain access to the interior of the chassis. Once taken off, you can clearly see the cage with the two hard drive bays on the bottom. The cage is right next to the air vent of the side panel, so the drives and anything behind it get as much fresh air as possible. You may take this cage out by removing four more screws. Once this is done, there is nothing but the bare case left to work with.

Taking a quick look at the rear from the inside, it becomes apparent that Cooltek has really gone for the bare minimum in terms of motherboard spacing as there is very little space to work with below the expansion slots. There is a small square cutout below the fan grill. It appears to be for a small switch of some sort; maybe one to adjust the fan speed. Cooltek may offer something along those lines as an accessory, but your guess is as good as mine as such extras have not been included. Above that are the two additional spots for 80 mm fans, bringing the total up to three. Just like with the smaller Coolcubes, no cooling fans have been included.

You can install a single hard drive of 3.5" or 2.5" to the floor of the chassis. Cooltek ships the chassis with four rubber rings that may be used as a protective measure against vibrations.

Two black PCBs are screwed to the interior side of the front. One holds the power button and LEDs, while the other is used to implement the I/O on the side of the chassis. Both come with black cabling and traditional connectivity. A nice touch would have been the inclusion of a USB 3.0 to 2.0 adapter of some sort, as users with older boards cannot use the modern USB connectors.

Assembly

Before installing the mATX board within the case, one needs to add the spacers that have been included, as the Coolcube Maxi does not come with all the required spacers for such a board pre-attached to the insides of the chassis. Once done, installing the unit is straight forward, but of a somewhat tight fit. However, you can easily install large top-down coolers with a low profile, and even very long graphics cards. The GeForce GTX 285 is one of the longest single-GPU cards out there and fits into the chassis perfectly with a few millimeters to spare.

As mentioned before, the floor-mounted hard drive is held in place with screws and rubber rings. Nothing out of the ordinary here. You may pick the direction the connectors point. Installing the larger drives into the side cage is also done with the included black screws. Cooltek has already pre-applied the rubber rings here, saving you the step in the assembly process. As you can see, the drives are installed with the PCB facing towards the inside of the case.

Due to the compact nature of the chassis, you should pre-attach everything before assembly to avoid blocking off vital connector, which would force you to take everything apart again. I, on top of that, made the mistake of leaving the second fan on the Phanteks cooler. Just leaving the bottom one in place will make the cooler fit into the chassis perfectly while still offering active air flow. As this is a case review, however, the bottom fan is of no concern. The fully sized ATX PSU fits into the chassis perfectly once all the cables are attached. You should also be able to use longer, more powerful variants within the Coolcube Maxi.

Finished Looks

With everything in place, the case makes a clean impression when turned on. Due to the lack of pre-installed fans, the system is nice and quiet. In the rear, you have easy access to everything; just like with bigger enclosures. If you look closely at the side of the case, you can see the silver of the hard drives shimmering through the air vent.

A ring around the power button lights up blue once the system has been turned on—a perfect fit for both the silver- and black variant of the Coolcube Maxi.

The Cooltek Coolcube Maxi does come at a price premium of €20 when compared to the standard version for ITX boards. While this may sound like a lot at first, it is actually quite affordable once you look at what other aluminum mATX cubes cost. Sure, you won't get any fans with the chassis, but the only general difference between the more expensive variants and the Cooltek Coolcube Maxi is the lack of an external drive bay. If this is something that does not phase you, the simple but effective interior does offer everything you could want out of a chassis of this size. You may install a good variety of CPU coolers, very long graphics cards, even in a multi-GPU configuration, and a potent, fully sized ATX power supply. On top of that, with three spots for hard drives, you are able to install an OS-equipped SSD and two large, traditional platters in RAID 0 or 1—depending on what you need. Overall, considering what the other choices on the market are, the Cooltek Coolcube Maxi offers even better value for your money than the smaller versions.

Samsung Display announced today that it is showcasing several industry-leading technologies and mobile to extra-large-sized display prototypes at the Society for Information Display's Display Week 2013, May 21-23, 2013, in the Vancouver Convention Centre (Booth 700). These include a Full HD (1920x1080) mobile AMOLED display with the world's broadest color gamut, and an 85-inch Ultra HD (3840×2160) LCD TV panel with extremely vivid color and low power consumption.

In addition, Samsung Display shows a unique new Diamond Pixel technology being highlighted at the show, and a featured LCD technology that enables local-dimming control in direct LED-based LCD panels. The world's first mass-produced 4.99-inch Full HD mobile AMOLED display offers the world's broadest color gamut with a 94 percent average rate of reproduction for the Adobe RGB color space. The Adobe RGB standard is about 30 percent broader than general sRGB standards.

Samsung Display fulfills the most advanced mobile AMOLED display demands with its Diamond Pixel technology. This technology, based on the idea that the human retina reacts more to green than other colors, places more green than red and blue pixels in the pixel structure of AMOLED display panels.

With the new technology, Samsung's Full HD AMOLED display can provide text messages 2.2 times clearer than HD (1280×720) displays. So, when curvilinear letters on the panel are magnified two or three times, Samsung's Diamond Pixel technology enables text to be reproduced more smoothly (fewer "jaggies") and accurately than those produced with conventional LCD technology.

Samsung Display is also providing Display Week participants with firsthand experience comparing the color gamut, color accuracy and letter quality of Full HD AMOLED displays in a special "experience zone" within its booth. The booth will provide a clear comparison between AMOLED and LCD displays. Attendees can see not only true crisp colors in the intricate wing pattern of morpho butterfly images, but can also view an image of a strand of knitting wool so detailed that it can only be appreciated using a Full HD AMOLED display.

Furthermore, Samsung Display's exhibit of an 85-inch ultra HD TV panel showcases a LCD technology that enables local-dimming control in a direct LED-based LCD panel. The panel can save 30 percent of typical LED BLU power consumption. Its local-dimming control enables vivid color rendering including incredible black images, 80 percent brightness uniformity, and a remarkably-enhanced contrast ratio.
For the latest in green technology, Samsung Display is highlighting advanced power-saving solutions for smart mobile devices including smartphones and tablets. Here, Samsung Display has innovatively reduced power consumption of AMOLED display by enhancing the luminous efficacy of AMOLED pixels. Samsung Full HD AMOLED displays provide a 25 percent power-savings over that of existing HD AMOLED displays.

Samsung Display is also exhibiting a 10.1-inch WQXGA (2560 x 1600) LCD for tablets and a 13.3-inch WQXGA+ (3200 x 1800) LCD for notebooks, which each can deliver 30 percent greater power-savings than that of existing LCD tablet displays, by decreasing the number of driver circuits and increasing the efficiency of the LED BLU.

Also, Samsung is spotlighting a 23-inch multi-touch LCD display that can detect 10 touch points simultaneously. The prototype enables playing of the piano with exceptional finesse, or drawing a highly detailed picture on a monitor or a tablet.

Hi guys,

I have been able to overclock my HD7950 from 960/1250 to 1150/1350. Poor ram overclock i know more was making BOINC Crashing the computer (I saw a test, hardware.fr getting it to 1700 :( )

So Before i was able to see the vGPU. Now MSI AB, after a reinstall, and modified CFG, still cannot get the vGPU either modifying it, maybe it's lock but at least, I should see the monitoring.

Here's what I modified:

UnlockVoltageControl = 1
UnlockVoltageMonitoring	= 1
UnofficialOverclockingEULA	= 1
UnofficialOverclockingMode	= 1

I was trying to see my VGPU from MSI AB as GPU-Z see VDDC at 1.232v at idle (500/1350) but when I go in FurMark, it drop to like 1.1*.

Any one knows why? ANy help is appreciate :)

Thanks

BTW, just made a test with overclocking, idle with CPU idle, UPS show 170w, running FurMark, goes to 455-480w, +/- 300w on full load at the wall, is it good?
