What PSU for a x-fire 4870 setup?

Hi,

I was planning on adding another 4870 to my current setup.

Unfortunately my current PSU (sig) only has 2 x PCI-E 6-pin connectors.

Do you guys have good suggestions for this kind of a setup?

I've heard a lot of good things about the PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750w and the Corsair TX750.
The only problem is, that I like my current modular setup quite a lot, so I was planning on getting one for x-fire.
I'm also looking at a single 12V rail, since those seem to get a lot of recommendations from people.

Edit: Sorry if this was the wrong section, but I'm also overclocking my cpu to around 4 GHz and both graphics cards cooling them with Accelero twin turbos.

I’ve owned the DA850 and the only difference is it has 70 amps. If you have the money you can buy that.

for modular i also want to throw in an Ultra X3 800W into the mix. Its also a single rail and I own one and its great. Its a bit more $$$ than the DA850 and less amps on the 12v rail though but has nicer cables.

I'm a bit sceptical about the Ultra, they have a bad name. I've been consulting this a lot:

Also the Decathlon is a bit expensive here in finland.
I could get the Corsair or PC P&C for 40€ less (of course, non modular, but still).

those are good choices but not modular though. In regards to Ultra PSUs, you are right, some have been not as reliable but the X3 line that i recomended are top notch and received rave reviews. Anyway, good luck on whatever you decide.

Actually the ultra x3 has gotten a lot of great reviews, but I went with the corsair 1000w trust me, for the next 5 years this should handle everything you can throw at it and more if not, well theres always those 30 new nuclear reactors the gov is building.
