I agree with that Tom. I just don't see the same reverse racism, and I've lived in NY, VA, KY and TN. To be honest, the worst racism I've seen has been toward Latinos.

I love legal hispanics. I have dated a few. But illegals shouldn't be here at all. Thats why its called illegal.

The only racial bashing in this thread has been against Obama and his supporters as seen in multiple posts. If you don't see it, it means you most likely agree with it or it fits your view of them. I am not saying prejudice is wrong. But racism means no logical basis of the prejudice or just hate in any way.

I am a blue dog democrat. That means pro-gun, pro-choice, anti-illegal immigrant, and for civil rights.

but I'll persist in my belief that nobody (not me, you, or anyone else) has a right to "not be offended". Things that bother people happen all the time, every day. And, we deal.

To the contrary, everyone has a right NOT to be offended, it's actually the law, well it is here, cannot speak for the US.....an example of what I mean.............. guy walks up to two good looking females walking down the street, he says to them both "damn, thats some fine ass you 2 have there"...........female 1 laughs and is flattered, female 2 is offended, she calls over the policeman on the corner of the street who gets all 3 of them together, female 2 makes a formal complaint (it's actually a form of assault in this country), female 1 tells the Policeman that the guy was just having some fun, female 1 is sent on her way, the guy is charged and the Policeman takes a statement from female 2......why, because she was offended.

If you dont care who you offend, you clearly dont care about other people's feelings, I find that kind of sad.

As bad as that sounds that same anonymity is making people say how they really feel...and that's a real eye opener.

If you came from a centrist, presbyterian, middle class, suburban place like I did and then see just how backwater and small-minded and mean-spirited a lot of people are it really makes one aware of how hard it is to pass civilization/culture along from generation to generation...there's some sort of de-evolutionary force at play too...what we all learned and knew to be right is not what kids 15-20 years younger think is right...

Hence the rise of fascism and racism in the states.

I'm not at all praising McCain, there's plenty I don't agree with him on, but Obama just scares me
Under Obama within 4 years we'll have no nuclear missiles (and be waiving our finger in vain to other countries who still do) have no missile defense system, iraq will be worse than before because we pulled out before the job was done (no condoning the war in the first place, but now that we're there we have to finish it), have higher taxes on small business causing strain on the blue collar who'll be losing their jobs because of it

this is just mildly touching the problems he'll cause, not to mention think for a few minutes about Obama being our Commander in Chief...just think on that...he wants to slash the defense budget and thinks we can defend by increasing country's respect for us around the world :shadedshu

not to mention I haven't even tapped his and his advisors/fellow democrats roles in the crisis that's going on right now, it's a shame the people are blinded by our media and never told the truth unless they truly dig for it
Chris Dodd and Barney Frank were behind the whole thing, and then you have freakin Nancy Pelosi using the Bush excuse that it was all his fault just because she can and no one will fight her on it

I already let you know in almost every post I made in this thread I do not support this kind of economic policies, at least not in such huge numbers. Top x% paying, lets say, 1~2% more is fine with me, but that's about it.

My dad pays 50% taxes as well, and he ain't even on a top x% list... I guess... 36K/year + eventual 30K bonus. It ain't middle class either, but you get the point. 50% tax with that income is crap, but also with any income it's stll crap.

Ive told you this a thousand times, but I'd still rather pay more taxes than some redneck playing Rambo where ever he feels like. Especially since his Rambo hobby is being paid by your tax, especially because his Rambo hobby is actually a threath for your country and especially because his Rambo hobby draws certain, stupid, EU leaders with him, making us more vulnerable too. And not for Russia, not for China, but for anti-USA who see their list of targets rise every second and the possibility to be caught before they strike, due to the huge and still growing area, is diminishing rapidly.

Chosing between those two is already very hard for me since Im seriously liberal. Not pro-capitalism, but I do not support huge tax increases among richer people at all. That's also why I said earlier, which got completely denied by Ford IIRC, is that it's a shame USA elections only have 2 real parties instead of like 5~6 parties which form a coalition after the counts have been voted. Cause as said, one party gets chosen and the percentage of missing votes for him is the percentage that's not entirely happy with the new government, and that's been for about 2 years now ~50% of the population.


Maybe you didnt know this, but what you think ain't the truth. It's an opinion, or an illusion for that matter. And you can have your own illusions/opinions/brainfarts, but dont put them down as 'truth'. It's ironic as well, 'ManofGod' talking about truth, but well, lets not go there anyway.

That said, sometimes opinions are the truth and have value beyond what you may think.

That's fine you share his same opinions, yes, his rhetoric was factual (at least the first point, well, half of the first point). It was still in no way a response to what Rammsteiner said, and he has been repeating the same stuff over and over as a response to all sorts of things. If your gonna respond to someone address what they said, not just what you see as important, especially when it's already been done ad nauseum.

I remember in, I think it was 1998 they said Clinton carried Georgia. A day later, the votes were counted, and he'd lost it by 10%...
