out of curiosity, why do you want to upgrade when you have dual 8800gt's?

unless you plan on dual 260's then i would say go for it

U are wrong....in some ways :rolleyes:

A 9800GX2 is faster than a 260 card in a lot of ways.

two 8800GT SLi cards are faster in a lot of ways too over the 9800GX2.

You can also overclock the 8800GT cards better because they are not two cards smashed into one.

So the 9800 gtx is the way to go if I am going to run them in sli?

Also looks like its power hungry and needs 2- 6 pin power connectors?

SLI 9800GTXs are very nice, and two of them can be had for $340 (BFG OC versions) vs the cost of two 260GTXs at $480 (MSI 192sp versions)

Edit: To be honest, I don't see why you want to upgrade from your SLI 8800GTs, they offer damn good performance and you already have them so it costs you nothing! If I were you, I'd stay with what I had

Myself and a couple guys at work are very competive when it comes to our rigs, so when one of us upgrades the others try and out do it, and I just will not let them get one up on me :roll:

One is getting a second 8800gt, so now I need to get something better......I know its childish but hey I'am a big kid :laugh:

So we may just have to get 2 9800gtx.
