So I decided to take some of my spare parts and build a desktop to use as a download/stereo/movie box but the case I am using has crap air flow. I most likely will be using the stock cooler from my Q9650 to cool what ever cpu ends up in there, and with a 4850 for my graphics that thing is going to put out a bit of heat. Budget is tight so think cheaply.

there are many things you should consider when buying a case.
first thing is size; if you got the room go for the large case.
It's got the room for many upgrades, larger fans etc.

secondly;remember you get what you pay for.
choosing acase is a personnel thing.
do some reseach you can go to these web sites www.newegg.com
www.xoxide.com. be patient and chose wisely.
and if u can't get one right away save your money and you'll have no regrets later.

Figured I woud put a bit more info up, basically I am looking for recommendation from people who have cases that they think will be sucessful in what I want. I am not terribly choosy on looks or size (although in this instant smaller would be preferred).

Had/have one lying about, but took bits of it apart. Too much dust gets in the case anyways.

Thermaltake matrix. 120 in the front, 120 in the back, and ample room to put another one in the top or bottom if you cut a hole for it. Currently using one for my home file / game server coupled with thermaltake A2329 fans in the front and back and a Noctua UH-12 without the fan to cool the E6450 its running case stays nice and silent but most of all it stays cool. Should take the 4850 just fine as far as space goes, you might just have to sacrifice a hard drive.

Cheers

bugger the antec 900 get a NZXT tempest there is even a tpu review of it just google and youll get about a hundred 7.5-10 reviews

2 front fans cooling the 2 hard drive bays, 2 top 140mm fans a side fan and back fan, all 120 mm fans apart from top fans

its great and will fit anything in it

has room for a radiator up top with pre made mounting holes

EDIT: just read about dust and well it has dust filters on the front and all the bas have filters but not the side but you can easily add in a dust filter yourself
