15.7 GBs takes an awfully long time! :banghead:

Steam servers seem to cut my bandwith every now and again. Even with a 2.5mbps connection (real), it's seemingly taking forever! :banghead:

Anyone playing this on PC yet?

the saved game folder has a "RAGE.SAV" "PARAM.PFD" & "PARAM.SFO" files

The savegame files are different. This game is kinda on the horrible side so far for me. It looks like another game that doesn't work well with ATi. It also installs Rockstar social club or something like that, that you have to create an account for and it seems to have problems linking that program with the game. You also need to have a "Games for Windows" account in order to save. I have to have the draw distance at 14 in order to play the game at 1920x1200 and I cannot go above medium texture settings no matter how low all of the other settings are. It does look good where it's at and I've played it a bit, but I'm rather dissapointed with the amount of problems so far. Tomorrow, I'll test it out on the Nvidia rig and see how that goes. :ohwell:

Game runs like utter crap on my friends 8800GT. Kinda makes me regret getting it on steam. Only 50% too.. Been dling since 5:00 too dammit.

There is no excuse for this game to run poorly on PC, if a 360 can do it then a decent pc should stomp the crap out of it. Crappy port I guess. :confused:

Well.. I can set it up to make it look the way on the Xbox360 without a problem. The games max resolution prior to the PC was 720p. The game is insanely detailed and there's a lot going on. Apparently with the GTX2XX series the texture quality can be higher than medium, I guess it's a vram size problem or something. I think a lot of it is the fact that the settings in the PC version can go much higher than the console versions. I wish I had a GTX280 right now.

About 30 - 42 fps. with the 1st Rig. Q6600 @ 3.0ghz, 4870 @ 780/1000, RAM @ 1066 5 4-4-12. If my E8600 comes in tomorrow, I'll try the game out on that system.

*Everything at the highest settings except textures will not go over "Medium" and the draw distance is at 14. 1920x1200

Yea this game is absolutely abysmal. I have to have all the sliders on the lowest and detail on low just to get 25-30fps and it looks like crap. Even with everything on highest it still looks like horse crap. I'm done with Rockstar games. This is just unacceptable. Game should be no more than 5$ if that.

thats not too bad considering that (by my eyes measure) the xbox360 @ 720p dropped to the teens (fps) when theres alot going on, if my rig (almost exactly the same as -Q6600 @ 3.0ghz, 4870 @ 780/1000, RAM @ 1066 5 4-4-12) can hold 30fps at 1920x1200 ill be happy as.
