I was wondering if anyone could help me identify this Radeon Card. The only thing I can tell you to help you out is the fan contains the number PN7121025200g.

If someone does know what model it is, do you know if it is fater/better than a Geforce 6600?

give us the information on that green and white sticker please. Its pci-e for sure, looks like it may be an x8xx card, if so, would whoop the crap out of 6600 series.
EDIT: also, off topic, didnt realize you were in stuttgart w1zzard. I was very close to being stationed there, and i might be later on, after i pass the Q course.

It is a 256mb card. The green sticker has the serial number and a P/N number that is different than the one on the fan. My friend is the one that sent me the pic and he says the P/N number starts with 107. Thats all he can remember.

Also im not sure if anyone noticed but the card is pretty small. Its only half the size of the nvidia geforce 6600 as you can see by looking at the metal pci bracket that holds the dvi and s video outputs.

put it in a computer and see if GPU-Z recognizes it or just install catalyst and see what driver it installs

I dont have the card. A friend sent the pic to me he is going to pick up either that card or a nvidia geforce 6600. They were both $34 at a used pc store. He got the 6600 for now because its "bigger" but has 30 days to return it if the other card is better.

Nope they just put used cards in a bin together and sell them. He says he put the numbers in and didn't find anything but ill tell him to give me the numbers. He was able to find the 6600 info because msi actually labels their products.

All the higher end cards I've seen are full width or even a little over the size of the bracket. El cheapo cards usually have no fan at all. It is definitely a midrange card. Better than GeForce 6600? Depends how old it is. It doesn't look very old so I'd say it is probably better. How much better is hard to say without having more information.

I'm 75% sure that's an X600 SE or Pro. Can't tell the difference with the different cooler.

EDIT: Meaning the other 25% of me is saying it could be an X300. But am thinking positively it is in the same family.

I think Jr might be right. Since it is a PCI-E card, the lowest end low profile PCI-E cards I find start with the X800, but that is just newegg, so anything not being sold or produced any more most likely isn't listed.

x300's are that slow it's not funny. i cant see one of them needing a fan. but anything is possible:D

Very very true, the cooler could have came from an X600 pro.

EDIT: Even at that armybonzola's friend made a good choice with the 6600.

Yeah, I'm thinking X300 or X600 also. Though it could be an X1300 or x1600 varient, or an HD2400 varient also. They call came in half sized cards like that with coolers similar to that. It is impossible to tell for sure without more information about what is printed on the stickers.

Possibly, but the cooler I saw on the VT X1650 low profile card looked similar to that one, so the design probably got used for a while.

Wow good find. So why is the metal bracket that holds the video outputs in my pic longer than the one in your pic? Made to fit a mini atx case?

So is the x1300 better than a geforce 6600? Im looking for the specs right now but I know there is always different opinions.

Hmm I'm assuming, the bracket on the card of your friend is not the original one. It looks like someone has mounted a normal lenght bracket there.

And as far as i read, they are almost equal, with the x1300 being slightly (just slightly) better.
