windows live mssenger wont uninstall

ok i am helping tpumom uninstall mssenger to revert to a older version and it is proving to be hard she has tried in the remove programs and features and such and i have tried manually deleting the folder and i have yet to tell he to delete registry entry but am i missing something here so toss me some ideas

hummm that doe not seem to do anny thing like it says it comes up with this error
