2013's EXTREME Budget Build!

Guys I wanted to start a thread for my new system that was ordered a little less than a hour ago. This thread will be used for posting benches and for people to help me better my system further than I can do it solely .Also this thread will prove to people that you don't have to have a lot of cash to get things done. This build is around 280$ including shipping. It consists of

if it gets over 5000 3D Marks in 06 ill be surprised (Not overclocked i mean)

My old 8600GT GDDDR3 256MB card got 4400+ and a m8 of mine had the 1GB 8600GT GDDR2 and it allmost did as good as mine, but he had a X2 6000+ tho.

If you payed for it via Paypal, then it should be there within 3-4 days I'd say. Depends on what you selected for shipping and where its shipping from

Well I chose the cheapest shipping.. I have no clue wheres it shipping from.. My uncle payed for it with his H&R Block card.. It got charged instantly..

Just for interest sake what do you benchmark now with your current system?

Im thinking of upgrading my Brothers CPU to one of those so it be interesting to see the difference in performance over ya 3200+

Well on the GTA IV video the guy is using fraps (GPU Hog) So add like 10 frames to everything you see.. The human eye cant detect anything above 30 FPS.

You are gonna want a new video card. I had a ddr3 8600gt about a year and half ago and that card struggled with the current games of the time. I can't even imagine playing recent games on that card. It wouldn't even be enjoyable at all.

What specific benches do you want to see?.. Dont make them a lot I kinda want to keep this strictly to my new system.

i got some fans i can hook you up with. for that price i can prolly even give you 2 120mm or 1 120mm and 1 92mm.

That is not even close to being true.

Why do you think they are starting to make TVs with 120hz refresh rates? The human eye my not be able to perceive 120 fps but it can see at least half of that and the image will look a lot smoother during fast paced scenes. PC gaming is made up of many fast paced scenes...

Well I think the cheapest shipping is UPS 3-Day, so I'd expect to get it early next week or something. It should say where its shipping from on the invoice that you get, and once your stuff gets shipped, it will show the tracking numbers on there to and they will e-mail you the tracking numbers also.

Oh and shouldn't this be in the Project Logs section?

1440 x 900. Not much bigger than yours. Plus keep in mind that the ddr3 8600gt is a lot faster than the ddr2 8600gt, which is what you have.
