is this fixable?

So i got the board back from DFI and i was wondering if at all possible is it possible to fix those traces?

Yes. I'm thinking a bit a emory paper to sand down to a contact point, some thin wire and superglue. I could be way off base though.

jeeeez those are tiny... perhaps its possible just to solder wires to the contact points as erocker suggested and ignore trying to patch the tracers altogether. I dont think conductive pen is going to do it tho... theyre too thin.

i say go for it... the pen will work for the top one... but for the borked 3 tracers on the bottom you would need a microscope in order to keep those separate.

In radioshack you could get some teeny wires and a teeny soldering iron for a total cost of roughly $25 then just follow the broken tracer to where it was supposed to end, scrape off some of the silicone, and then solder the wire to it... repeat at the other end!

I believe the PCB is made from multiple layers, so if the inner traces are also broken, those will not be fixable...

But i will say go ahead, maybe you can fix it, i sugest sanding the area and soldering tiny wires, in my experience works better than the conductive pen, also the conductive pen trace could be broken when you tighten the board, because the problem sits on a screw hole.

He is quite right, most newer boards are multi-layer and it would be nearly impossible to fix it unless you have a schematic and could jumper to known points.

I would not mess with it unless it is dead, then I would not care and would go for it.
Because just about anything you do(like sanding, trimming,etc.)will weaken it and the thing will crack under any stress.
Time to upgrade maybe. Or open box time.
