Well, i got my Bloodrage mobo, my i7 920 and my ram, G.SKILL 3GB (3 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800). So far so good. Except upon reading the mobo manual it states that it uses DDR3 1800(oc)/1600(oc) and that it officially ONLY supports ddr3 1333..:twitch: When i bought this ram and mobo combonation I was under the impression that the 1600 wasn't an overclocked spec. Do I need to purchase the 1333 instead??? I'm almost out of money :cry:and with the remaining parts arriving friday I had plans to be gaming with this rig by Sunday, so any help will be appreciated....thanks...my fingure is hovering over the "checkout button" in the newegg cart right now.

It'll be fine with 1600 - all core i7s all have unlocked memory multipliers, so where it says "oc" in your manual all it will do is adjust your memory multiplier to make it run at that speed, which also boosts your QPI link speed and uncore speed (memory controller and L3 cache), all at the same voltage so it's free speed :D

Review samples sent out had locked multipliers, and a lot of people think the retail i7s had locked multipliers too, which they don't.
