Most Anticipated Shooter of 2009 to come!

Hey everyone, I recently wrote an article in my blog about the top 10 shooters to come in the year 2009. http://dailyfidelity.com/gaming/top-10-most-anticipated-shooters-of-2009/ It is a fairly comprehensive list and writeup with a lot of good information and videos that took me a few days to slowly compile.The list excludes FEAR2, Killzone, and others that have been already released.

I was wondering what everyone's input was on this list, and what shooter you are looking forward to the most this year. Also please watch some of the trailers(that are included in the link above), especially for the games you have not herd of. You may be pleasantly surprised with some of them. This is looking to be a pretty damn good year for gamers who love shooters!

community.codemasters.com I've found I missed quite a few big name games that are scheduled to be released this year. I'll be updating this article with these titles later today, some of these titles include: Wolfenstein RTCW II, Duke Nukem Forever, Americas Army 3.0, Bionic Commando, Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena, and Massive Action Game.

Red Faction Guerrilla is the only one that has my attention. Wanted and Velvet Assassin sounds interesting but I am not convinced it is worth playing yet. Battlefield and Call of Duty are too far gone, in my opinion, so I have no interest in them.

Duke Nukem if it ever gets released lol... Other wise Arma 2 due to it's massive community it holds. Thinking about it what about Max Payne 3 ? or even GTA 5 or even Hitman 4 ? ( is it 4 lol ? )

Most of the others are kinda yeah ok been there done that in most other game so many other times.

Hitman 4 is Bloodmoney (Codename 47, Silent Assassin, Contracts, Bloodmoney). GTA IV is likely to get a few sequels/prequels before GTA V comes out, much like GTA III. Max Payne 3 I think isn't coming out until 2010.

I voted for BF BC 2. I'm not much for story when it comes to shooters, just a great multiplayer, and I havent been this happy with one (BF BC) since BF 1942 DC mod.

But the other I got my eye on is also Red Faction... The first one was IMO the best FPS multiplayer to come out before the 360 and PS3, even better than Bond. It was completely different than anything else offered. It was too bad that it seems alot of people didn't realize that. IT also had a fantastic single player. I don't know what they were thinkign with #2, hopefully this puts them back on track.

I voted for Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising because of the sheer amazingness of the game, plus I need more difficulty in shooters. I feel some are becoming too easy!

Hadn't thought about any of them really. Didn't even know there was going to be a CoD MW 2 ....

But I suppose it'd be CoD MW 2 or Bioshock 2.
I'll vote CoD MW 2 simply because I'll spend more time thinking about that one .... hoping they make a better job of it than they did with World At War ....

Even though I'm really looking forward to CoD:MW2 I'm actually more excited to see how Operation Flashpoint turns out, especially since it's using an enhanced version of the DiRT/GRiD engine.

I absolutely LOVE lady shooters, like Noone lives forever, etc. But looking at Velvet Assassin website, it is the toilet. I do HATE mystery meat console websites. Very disappointing. Naff. Nuff said.

Modern Warfare 2 for sure. I'm not looking forward to Battlefield 1943, I don't think Dice is capable of making good games anymore.
