FML!

FileFront was my favorite! If there were any game mods I wanted, FileFront would always be my first choice. It has the best download speeds. I don't want to have to use RapidShare or MegaUpload, they are so much slower. This sucks big time.

Edit: Well thankfully it is only being suspended and not permanently down. If it's only suspended, there is a chance it may come back up in the future.

things aren't looking too good . . . although it might re-open later down the road, the general word floating around is that all the files they host will be lost. Which would mean that if the site goes active again later on - it'd be a clean slate with nothing available until people start uploading.

I'll miss it - it's one of the easiest sites to upload to, the whole process was quick, easy, and straight-forward . . . unlike the complicated mess that it is to upload to other sites.

TBH, in FF's case, I might be able to believe tough economy . . . simply because of just how MANY files they host. A lot of the game-specific sites were seeing a continued growth in file uploads, but a decrease in the number of visitors to the site . . . which translates to reduced income.

But, I truly have no idea what was behind the decision for closure, perhaps the company that owned the servers went out, or decided to cut them . . . who knows, y'know?

Either way, we're not left with much in regards to good game file hosting. FPSBANANA comes in a close second, but their uploading process is a royal PITA, plus, their site tends to load a lot slower than FF ever did.

I honestly don't know of any other good download sites. I got EVERYTHING from filefront.. Especially regarding stalker, I don't know where I'm gonna get my mods now!!
