50 UK = 73 US.

I expect this cooler to be about $50 - $65.

 wow. if they were like $40 i would order it in a heart beat. but $65 is a bit steep.

I cant wait for scan overclockers to get it in, because no doubt it will come down to around £30. I cannot justify spending £50 on one though. Even though they do look sweet and we have been needing one since 260 / 280 launch.

I wish some manufacturer(s) would license using these on their cards so we could get these on cards right out of the box. Why the hell are the cooling systems in these new cards so damn bulky if they're so inefficient? I know it's abnormal but my card idles at 50 and can hit 80+ with FurMark. That's just no good.

because manufacture see it more cost effective to slap a piece of copper with aluminum fins on it and a low cfm fan to make our cards idle at 60c

Put them outside in the winter here and you won't see 60'C load!

-30'C isn't unheard of, and it makes for great clocks. :toast:

Yeah, but you can take them with you to any other cards you decide to buy next.

Best thing I ever did, tbh.

$250?!?!?!?!?! Where do you get that? I said UNIVERSAL blocks. $30-50 each, depending on where you look. I suggest Swiftech MCW-60's for bang-for-the-buck.

Where can I find this damn thing? AC allways does this. I remember waiting months for their 9800gtx cooler and by the time it came out my card was long gone.

From what I hear it will retail for $65 US.

My main complaint about this cooler is the ugly white backplate.

Maybe they're taking a long time to release it everywhere so they can revise the crappy VRM cooling solution they provide with the kit...at least that's what I hope! See OnBoard's review of this cooler for results and his solutions!

Ive heard good things about the vrm solution for the GTX280. Apparently it their vrm solution for the 285 sucks.

I don't know if they are waiting to releace the 2 at the same time or what, but if I find a good price on an HR-03 GTX I'm picking it up. It's as if they want to lose money. By the time you can find this thing no one will care or the 285 will be EOLed, the 280 allready is.

Everything I've read about the HR-03's and Xtreme GTX280 cooler's VRM's solutions show that the VRM temps have increased from the stock cooling solution. I agree with you as I'm considering going with an HR-03 also...we'll see, I've had this card since July...just depends on when I decide to stop waiting.
