That board looks awesome. I kinda want a sli rig and xfire rig now. what compartable to 2x 4850's

I wouldn't get too excited if I were you, as the nForce 980 is a mere rebranded nForce 780. The only novelties are AM3 and DDR3 support.

Why did Asus step down from their usual 8+2 to an 8+1 phase power design? Also, the PCB looks kinda empty

Edit: "Integrated NVIDIA® GeForce® 8 series GPU" but no display connector?

and what exactly is wrong with 780A? it clocks as good if not better than 790FX

its for hybrid SLI the crosshair III or whatever they name it will have display out

I never said there was anything wrong with it. I was just warning other people who think of it as something new that it's rebranded old tech, much like what nVidia's been doing with their graphics card. Knowing what you're buying always turns things to your advantage.
