Looking for an MKV video converter.

I have some high def videos that I would like to watch on my PS3. I've tried the Ojosoft MKV converter, but for some reason the PS3 doesn't recognize the .mpeg or .mpg files that the program is outputting.

Does anybody know a good converter that can decode the MKV into something that the PS3 can recognize?

It does decode MKV? Because that's the problem I'm having with everything else is that .MKV is unsupported.

.MKV is not a video format exactly, but a video container.

All you have to do is extract the video from the container. Hopefully the video in the container is supported by the PS3 (most of the time it is).

megui supports everything provided you have just two things installed.

latest version of ffdshow tryouts and avisynth.
