My GF uses a 1GB version, so far I only paid 100 AUD for it which is way less than 90 USD.

The performance? Well she's able to run Left 4 Dead at max settings with over 40 - 60 frames, shes using an amd 4000+ and 4GB's of elixir RAM along with a slow hdd and cheap mobo rofl.

This card is great for resolutions around 1280x1024 for gaming, although her monitor is 1080p as well, I wouldn't recommend it for a large monitor, although you're better off getting a 4770 or a 4830 if you're gonna crossfire 4650's.

4650 ddr3 = 9500GT ddr3
4670 = 9600gso

more like

4650 = 9600GSO
4670 = 9600GT

if you are talking performance comparisons anyway.

also, the 4650 is ddr2, while 4670 is ddr3.

If you plan on getting 2 cards for crossfire, why not get a 4830 for $90? (or our usd equivalent)

The 4600 series are great for mid resolution gaming. It will play any Source game maxed with AA and 100+ FPS.

Its probably got something to do with the fact that I just discovered that we can get a 4850 1GB for cheaper than a 4830 :nutkick:

I've got a HIS 4650 DDR2 on a 24" monitor and it works fine for me. Granted, I've only played TrackMania with it, but I have all the settings on max and I never get the annoying "low frame rate" warning. It's on sale at Newegg for $44.99 after rebate right now.

Wait, are these the radeon cards that allowed people to use crossfire without using a bridge?
Just by putting them in your slots?
