It does not worth it. You could get a MO-RA 2 with fan mounting for a little over $200. That's a 9x120mm radiator :D

I always wondered, how do those perform, btw. And how restrictive are they?

Since its the price of 2 quad ones i guess is not even worth further investigation

The MO-RA? Just a little bit more than a PA 120.3. My flow maybe changed by .6 LPM

SO how about temp wise? That thing has my interest peaked.

Temp wise I read a report that showed a 300W heat dump and it was compared against the 120.3. There was a 4C delta difference in favor of the MO-RA and that was with one fan only.

what do you intend to cool with it? (also 2 x fesser 480's will spank a MORA, and the Monsta without looking back)
I estimated rough numbers.... you'd be good with over a 1000W heat load on this setup.

I dont like the mora, i feel you can do better with 3 x MCR320's which is basically the same thing.

The real question is do you need all that rad power. Remember your playing with ambient cooling meaning the lowest you can possibly go is the air temp in which your radiator fans are pulling.

With 300W heat load? 4C favor coretemp? watertemp? if its watertemp how is that possible with such a low heat load? Was the fans on the PA like at 900RPMs? Im pulling a less then 2C delta on load to idle on a PA120.3 in a CPU only loop. Heat load is probably around 200-250W, and this is a uberclocked i7.

well the question was asked if 2 480's was more powerful. :p

The answer is yes because 2 480's is thicker, and longer. (ummm thats what females say right?)

I'll try and find the report. You really underestimate a Watercool MO-RA 2. Play with one sometime.

::EDIT:: I couldn't find the report I was thinking of, but I did find another. http://www.scribd.com/doc/3194108/HighEnd-Radiatoren-im-Test

They are comparing the water temps between a mo-ra 2 and other rads and the mo-ra 2 is using 3-5 fans.

oh no i dont.

ive seen the mora, andy has shown me what it can do.

But your at the bottom point of dimished returns, which means no matter how great the rad, you can only get a set performance. :toast:

lol would you guys like more pics of it?

it was called oracle, meant to handle 4 x 530W TEC's downvolted on a TEC chiller.

It was quickly scraped once i learned how much wattage it would take. :nutkick:

the main core fans were 8 SanAce's

Yes it was stupidly expensive to build.

I'm about to throw a GTX 295 into the loop (why I upgraded to the mo-ra) via split loop, dual pump w/manifold. Trust me I know what you're talking about :toast:

Right, but the other benefit is getting that level of performance with much quieter fans. Same performance + much less noise = a win in my book.
