19'' 2ms VS 22'' 5ms

I wanna upgrade my monitor soon, but i want too know if i will notice the ghosting on a 5ms 22'' after using my 19'' 2ms

My 19" HDTV is 5ms and the only ghosting I can notice are the little flag icons in BF2 and 2142, and I really have to pay close attention to notice...

tbqh i actually haven't looked for a specific one, but will definately be a samsung

Below 8ms supposedly you shouldn't notice any issues with gaming. I've delt with 10+ Acer's from 19" to 24" 5ms widescreen LCD's, and for gaming, movies, general use they all worked amazingly. Acer is an amazing brand, and the only reason my 24" is an Asus is simply becuase of the amazing deal I got off of the 'egg (open box, but the box wasn't opened..at least as far as I could tell!

). My old 19" and 22" Acer 5ms worked great, no ghosting, no issues, nothing but great image, solid performance, and very consistent and solid usage.

i thk just bout any monitor manufacturer is good if the specs are good, i'd never heard of ViewSonic but i love my monitor, and it came with a free resolution upgrade in a monitor update from 1680x1050 to 1920x1080 lol

Viewsonics have good quality monitors

but their integrated speakers suck

Wow...for many years at least as-far-as I've noticed Viewsonic has been one of the heigher tiered monitor producers in the industry. I remember ads for them in my old PC gamer mags from the 90's!

I had a Viewsonic 15" CRT that was top notch, had it for years, great brand to say the least.

Yeah viewsonics always been a damn good brand, I remember my friends old Viewsonic 21" CRT, he bought that beast for like $400 and it was AMAZING!

My experience has been as follows:

First LCD, a 17-inch 8ms TN panel. Never noticed ghosting.
Second LCD, a 22-inch 2ms TN panel. Didn't notice any difference.
Third LCD, a 24-inch 6ms S-PVA panel. Serious ghosting because of the strange WFP-HC bug.
Fourth LCD, a 30-inch 8ms S-IPS panel. No ghosting, gaming on it rocks Jesus.
Fifth and sixth, the dual-20-inch monitors I keep on either side of the 30-inch. Both have 16ms response time and I have yet to see a bit of ghosting.

There is only one thing I've ever seen ghosting on. And that.. is my god-damn PSP. It has to much ghosting I have a hard time believing they didn't cheap out on 40ms panels instead of the slightly less crappy 25ms they claim they use.

Basically, for monitors, the pixel response time is irrelevant. I have two CRT's as well.. I tried and tried to compare them and see an actual difference but I simply can't.. so I give up.. I know what ghosting is.. I've seen it, I hate it, but it just doesn't exist below 25ms.

lol yes, psps' screens suck the donker with ghosting, most annoying thing ever. never understood why they didn't offer a better psp for a lil more premium with a ballin lcd.

Go 22". My 22" Asus is alot better than my old 19" and the Families 19".

Also, you can get 22" in 2ms, look for one of them.
