Considering ASUS' less-than-stellar record with the A8R32-MPV - 5 versions of BIOS and still no TREF fix let alone the rest of the bugs present since the nitial version, most wont boot past 280MHz FSB no matter what you do, performance goes down with every BIOS revision, terrible VCore fluctuations - I would stay the hell away even if I was going to AM2...

F*ck ASUS!!!! This will probably be just another turkey like the A8R-MVP & A8R32-MVP. ASUS have lost a lot of customers and respect with those 2 mobos I mentioned, they are riddled with bugs yet ASUS ignore customers asking them to "pull their dicks out of each other arses and sort the problems!!!" :banghead:
(ok rant over, sorry, I just f*cking hate ASUS now! )

I'm hating ASUS right now too, the ASUS M2N-E looks like come with a pre beta version of the BIOS, it has plenty of bugs and errors, next time i will go with another brand, i will spend more money, but at least i get a decent product, they totaly ignore the custommer's request of putting more voltage on ram, 'cause DDR2 800 most of the time don't work with a voltage below 2.0 and the board max is 1.95
Result: fryed ram

Asus has lost their way and doesn't seem to have any competent mobo design engineers any more, based on the garbage they have shipped in the past couple years. This mobo is another example of stupidity with only one usable PCI slot if you use proper dual-slot cooled video cards. I haven't seen any plug-in card companies making 1X PCI-E cards so why the mobo companies waste valuable space with these worthless slots instead of adding PCI slots and space next to the Video slots is beyond me. Asus doesn't look like they can buy a clue from what I see. You can be certain this like all other Asus mobos of late will suffer BIOS and other operational issues that will never be resolved. Thanks but no thanks Asus. You can stick all of your crap where the sun don't shine.

Well, my A8R32MVP must be one in a million because it has performed great for me. I can boot 328HTT+, each bios revision makes my board run even better and the Vcore droop under load is barely .02V. I am not totally in love with it, but it is no buggier than any other motherboard out.

As for PCI 1X stuff, there are TV Tuner/capture cards out for 1X, and Lan cards, although lan cards are useless. There will be sound cards out for it soon too. But I agree, until that stuff is more widely available, 2 useable PCI slots are nice to have.
