Man the Xigamatek S1284 cooler doesnt seem to have alot of pressure behind it, I can slide it around with my hands if I want... any suggestions?

Using the AM3 bracket it came with....

AM3 bracket doesn't have a screw design.

If you're getting 45 under load then I'm pretty sure it's working properly, Maybe take off the bracket and take a picture comparing it to something, if it's not the right angle I have an extra one laying around

Mine does it a bit too now that I think about it. It isn't an issue as long as the temps are okay.

If you want to keep her from moving. you can fab your own bracket

Take that back plate and use it as a template to work with and then cut out two pieces of steel to fit onto your heat sink (ans screw it on). Then use the back plate to mark your holes, then drill them. Next, get yourself some bolts and carefully bolt it down. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN THEM! You could could risk cracking your die. But once your down, it shouldn't move as much.

dosnt anyone listen ist a clip bracket that you clip onto a hook thing NOT A BOLT THROUGHT OR PUSH PINS

IT HAS NO HOLES FOR BOLTS OR PINS

so with that in mind i can slightly slide my cooler too but its tight too

try to reapply thermal paste and make sure the cooler is directly on the middle, the stuff that comes is garbage get mx-2

Im not sure about AMD but i bought the back plate and through bolted my S1284 to my mobo, i just don't like the though of pishpins holding such a heavy cooler on the mobo.

Guys it doesn't bolt through, it's just a clip no push pins or anything. The clip goes into the little grooves cut across the cooler.

We know that. I am saying you go and remove the plastic piece that the the bracket clips onto and you are left with holes. You go and take that backplate and use it as a template to drill holes for a custom bracket on your s1283

That won't work because of the screws needed, there has to be tension. The fact that a straight bolt you won't have enough tension until it's too tight. Think of the bolt kit for the 775 or 1366 they have screws with some pretty big springs on it. That's to keep equal tension and to not over tighten. I wouldn't recommend anyone to make their own mounting bracket without something similar to the screw and spring method.
