Is there a way to maybe lift the total PM limit in the Inbox and Sent Items? You could maybe charge a fee like $10 or $20 to all that would like it to be unlimited as a sort of upgrade? I have probably had 1,000 incoming/outgoing messages since I joined the site due to trading here and a few other sites. Just curious. :)

EDIT I just realized the limit is 1,000 and I have filled that a couple times over..... that would be maybe 4,000 messages since joining the site.

any reason why you would want to keep all those old messages? if you just want to archive them, use download to xls/csv/txt and then empty folder?

I do believe that W1zz meant "XML".

I could write a small, lightweight application that would parse through the XML file and sort/filter/display the messages if you would like. Actually, there are several people who have a gajillion messages and may find something like that useful.

It would take me a little while, but it's not too hard.

Indeed, what possible use would you have for messages over a few weeks old?

1. Sometimes I go back and leave heat on my free time.

2. When considering a trade or purchase with someone I like to see if I have traded with them before.

Those are just a few reasons. ;)

Those are just a few reasons. ;)

1. Leave Heat immediately.

2. Check said Heat.

Don't know if this helps or not, but whenever my PM box gets full I just do this:

Then clear out my box.

Wow I just delete mine. I don't worry about trading with people, the rest of TPU handles that for me. I can see how long they've been a member and if other people are buying off said "trader" (well... good hunting, Stalker).
