thats probably because its the trailer for the Xbox360 - the PC versions gonna be at least 50x better. but I do like the small details theyve added the the graphics. i cant explain it but it looks a lot realistic yet more cartoony at the same time or something

this is more like the real deal the other one now seems like a beta for this game

if you liked the first one this is much of the same which is not a bad thing at all, you cant hate this game if you liked the first one as its essentially a souped up version of it

The time frame being pre-november 2004 (HL2 launch) - late 2009. In 4½-5 years Valve could've made a few new engines. Or properly updated the original. Instead they seemingly shut down their development and made a few simple small games and charge full rates for them. Yet, for some reason, everyone seems to absolutely love 'em?

"Combat system"?
You mean the axe, frying pan and w/e L4D2 gives you?
Such a huge improvement should have been added to the original game as a patch. It's no different from the secondary attack when wielding any weapon.

End the end, L4D is so horribly constricted and lacking in general that any small addition seems like a huge improvement.

Considering how little effort Valve has put in their engines & games since HL2 I don't get it how anyone would be. And as it appears, L4D2 is going to be a "happy-happy-joy-joy mod" for the original, without real improvements (but with a full price tag) it seems Valve is still on the usual track of minimizing effort...

Have you played the original Left 4 Dead? They aren't even close. I realize that 2 is coming out a bit too fast for most people's tastes, however there isn't a game that I've enjoyed more than Left 4 Dead in a long time, it's well worth the money. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that part two will come at a bit of a discount.

Versus mode makes it all worth it for me. Basically it's 4 on 4 where four people play as survivors and the other team play as infected (smoker, boomer, hunter and occasional tank). It very much relies on teamwork, with the survivors trying to make it from start to finish without getting killed off by the other team. It's very satisfying coming up with a "gameplan" to try to kill/foil the other team and seeing it work.

first of all it was in the announcement that they added a whole new combat system NOT ME making shit up

second of all the graphics are a touched up of the same shit they cant change the graphics that much from november

the game is only about a few months old so dont expect to much but a touched up and souped left for dead which is fine by me

heck it was just fun to play nothing serious about it

the source engine is much better looking than the half life 2 build, they would rather add to that than build a game and engine every 3 years

If you dont want to pay full price for it - just hang around abit until they run a L4D2 Promotion weekend like they did with TF2 - they also announced & made it clear that you could also 'buy' the game online for £6.99 compared to £15.00 in the shops. no garantee this is gonna be any time soon so dont hold me to it. But steam are always running promo events - its just up to you if u want to take part.
