Vista Heahaches! After long uptime lockup.

I recently built a HTPC to use as a media server and a HTPC in my home theater. I use to run a media server out of a PII and use XBMC for my HT but that could not handle HD.
System Specs:
ASUS P5N7A-VM
Intel E5200
750gb Seagate HD
1tb Hitachi HD
Hec HTPC case
4x 2gb A-Data DDR2-800
Lite-on 4x BR Drive
Vista Ultimate: I run Vista Media Center because it is the only thing that supports BR

Problem:
When I have the system up for an extended period of time, running torrents(I think I am allowed to say that?), everything just gets slower and slower. After I restart everything is fine. It is almost like it is loading up my ram but with 8gb of ram I would think it can handle it. Maybe heat but I have run it with a fan on it and nothing changed. After running torrents for a long time the CPU utilization just gets higher and higher and you can see the download speed get lower too until it just dies. I think it is just something to do with Vista but I can't figure out what is making it happen. It is almost like vista won't dump the ram and it just dies.

Over clocked or stock? Idle/load temps both cpu and northbridge? Whats your pagefile set at? What other items do you have running and multitasked?

Pagefile is set at 16956mb < I wasn't sure if I should set that higher or lower
When it locks up nothing else is running just BT

Yes, you are correct. Bittorrent technology is as legit as FTP or any other file transfer technology. It's what content you download that matters, not the technology you use to download it with.

NB load and pagefile seem to be a bit on the high end.

Try setting your pagefile to 1024MB and see where that gets you.

Yeah I will set the pagefile a little lower and see what happens. The NB temp going to be higher because of the chipset on this board. It uses the new Nvidia 9300 IGP so a lot of the heat is created by that. The Nvidia 9300 does all my BR encoding so the CPU load is way down. I can watch a BR with CPU running at 25% load which is pretty good if you ask me for onboard.
