Thief 4 Announced!

Yop, it has been announced. Can't wait for it personally...Thief is one of my favorite series.
I have high expectations!!

Eidos-Montréal is excited to unveil, their previously secret second title in development at the studio, as Thief 4, the next instalment in the legendary series!

The original Thief title revolutionised 1st person gaming and defined a new genre of stealth based game play. Thief has consistently met with critical acclaim, with the revered series winning awards for its originality in gameplay and sound design. Thief’s list of accolades includes a birth in GameSpy’s Hall of Fame and GameSpot citing Thief as one of the Greatest Games of All Time. Thief’s script and ground breaking sound immersion design was recognised by The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences and was awarded its prestigious Outstanding Achievement in Character and Story Development award and nominated for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Design.

I hope that this title will be built on at least DX10 from the ground up! I know I'll have a new rig by the time this thing and Deus Ex 3 comes out. Can't wait

i tried thief 3 so i know its a good series of games

I hope Thief 4 isn't too creepy. Thief: Deadly Shadows was pushing my threshold for horror, unfortunately. The suspense, it kills me inside.

PLayed all of them and for 3 yes worth playing although the 1st 2 great as they are really show there age today but are a load of fun if you can get over what the graphics look like..

But 3 get it, it's a blast!..

i'm with ya there. i played the first one and jumped out of my skin everytime i sneaked around in one of the early levels and heard a groan from a zombie issue from behind me. i remember that game being made to take advantage of quadraphonic setups. people didn't like the zombies so Thief 2 didn't have as much, but it was still terrifying to have someone come up behind you.
