[WTB] A GTX 280 Aftermarket Cooler

My card runs at 70-80c 24/7 at 50% fan (i fold)

im looking for something that will improve that but not increase the noise.. my case has great airflow and the loudest thing is the 280's fan.

It does not. There are VERY FEW options for 280s in the after market cooler arena, most will be as loud as the 120mm fans you'll put on it. Keep that in mind. I can't imagine a gtx280 at 50% making much noise. I used to run mine at 80%, and no I'm not deaf :laugh:

its fairly quiet, I', just curious if theirs a better way to keep the temps down and with less sound... I guess water is an option as I have a res/rad/and already have a block for my cpu but im a water nub.

Short version, yes it works great, but VRM cooling needs works. No it's quit easy to install, if you can get the stock cooler off

If you don't want to Accelerote you GTX 280, only other option is Thermalright HR-03 GTX. It has a bit better VRM cooling solution. Or then go water.

(yes there are now more coolers with GTX compatible mounts, but they are all worse and most won't likely have any VRM cooling with them)
