I have found 3850's in buy/sell/trade forums for $65 shipped. So they are out there for pretty good prices considering they are so rare.

Beware of the drivers on the 3850 though, because some people say its hit or miss with motherboard compatibility despite the official AGP 8x support. ;)

I would probably get a 3850 but that's probably out of his price range. He really just needs a card to run some old source games.

Well Im looking for something that's better than what he currently has. I know its tough to find AGP cards these days but their inst much difference between he 6800nu and 6600gt. Thanks for the reply though.
