I have $70 to spend, but not sure what to spend it on.
I'd like to get any combination of the following items, as long as I don't have to put much money with it.

Logitech G5 Mouse- $53 shipped
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104076

Logitech MX518 Mouse- $40 shipped
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104178

Sapphire HD 4550- $40 shipped
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102819

Infamous for teh PS3- $54 shipped
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16879261078

Source package on Steam (CS:S, DoD:S, HL2;DM)- $30

- I think I need a new mouse, my $12 GE that I got from Target a year ago has been freaking out a lot recently, but it may have just been a USB extension I had on it that was making it do it.
- The video card would be for a computer that I need to connect up to a TV via HDMI, but the old card it currently has doesn't support HDMI through a DVI to HDMI adapter and doesn't have it native. Also, if I still couldn't get it to work I could put it in a Acer-hybrid-custom PC that I've been tinkering with in order to increase it's sale value. Or if I couldn't do either, it's always nice to have a backup card laying around :)
- I rented Infamous, and really really liked it, but my PS3 is up for sale so I don't really know if I should be spending any more money on it.
- Lastly, I've just been wanting to play those games for a while, I'd like to have the CSS stuff for Gmod and I heard DoD is pretty fun.

Or, I could just put the money in my non-existant car fund :twitch:

Depends what you want the most.

I would get a new mouse, but it depends how much you want it over the games or GPU.

A new mouse is always a great investment, not only for gaming. There is nothing as annoying as a poorly functioning mouse.

Agreed. Could you or anyone else tell me if the G5 is worth the $13 price difference from the MX518?

For a good cheap mouse, get this when it is back in stock (in 3 days) : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826100001
Then get your steam games you wanted
And put 20$ in your non-existant car fund :D That makes 70$! Have fun :p

NO use in spending more in the PS3... Wouldn't risk wasting money on a video card that might not do the job I want to... So what I listed above seems a pretty good thing to do :p

That is a nice mouse, although I think I like the G7 a little better. It tracks via lazer, has your dpi adjustment buttons right at your fingers, has adjustable weights, has a rope-like cord, and it a little bigger which it noice because I have some pretty massive hands. Thanks for the heads up though :toast:

It works on 64bit, but you don't get the program that lets you customize your buttons or something... basically something not very useful in games :p

I have $70 to spend, but not sure what to spend it on.
I'd like to get any combination of the following items, as long as I don't have to put much money with it.

Logitech G7 Mouse- $53 shipped
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104076

Logitech MX518 Mouse- $40 shipped
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104178

That's a G5 not a G7. I would get the MX518, it looks better and is literally the same as the G5 aside from the different tracking engine.

I really liked my G5 untill I wore it out :p The wires broke inside the cord right were it goes into the mouse itself resulting in some very frustrating sniper shots on bf2 which resulted in me buying a G9 and have never looked back, now I own 2 G9's :). But the G5 is a great mouse IMO it is comfortable with on the fly dpi and adjustable weights what more could a gamer want ?

You don't have a car, and you are considering buying a $50 mouse?

:shadedshu

I vote for the car fund, even if I am the odd man out.

I have no desire for a car. I'd rather put my money into things that I enjoy instead of gas/insurance. ;)

No desire I can understand, but eventually It might be a necessity. Like say, if you have a job that you have to drive to. You know, the one to make money to buy more computer parts.

Nah, seriously though, I don't know the particulars of your situation, so maybe you really don't need a car. In which case :toast:

OK, I thought the extension was making my mouse freak out, but it's doing it without, so I'll probably order the MX518 tomorrow.

If there is a Best Buy close they usually have a decent selection of Mice to check out. I couldn't decide between the MX518 and the G5 so I went up there and they had both of them sitting out. I still couldn't decide between the two as they are both awesome. I found a deal on the G5 and haven't regretted the decision for a second.

Yeah, I would go but the closest is about a 45 min. drive away. They actually have the MX518SE at the Target here, but I've heard that the regular one is better. The SE has a red top and a higher DPI but it doesn't have the slick feet and I heard it wears out faster.
