I've downloaded the demo, looks like a great game. Apparently it has all sorts of advanced physics and graphics engines that require tons of memory...ha ha an opportunity to flash my computer in front of my friends ;). I think I'll buy it sometime.

Maybe your 9600XT cant handle it (I think the minimum GFX card requirement is a 9800)

I finally won a round of Company of Heroes SP Demo.
Damn that AI is tough. It has been kicking my butt on NORMAL.
Nothings normal about winning against STRIVE. :pimp:

Oh well, I am off to fight the Germans on "HARD" this time.
Maybe by the time my game gets here next week I'll be ready for online play,

============================================================

Has anyone else won the Demo's Skirmish?

It took me a few tires.:toast:

No Doubt it needs "Game of the Year" in it's catagory. Maybe Overall.
I have ditched playing FPS for an RTS and for me that is unheardof.

The last time I played an RTS it was C&C. I was deployed and had nothing but time. We did an 8 player round that lasted 8 hours and I won. That was the best victory I have ever had in a video game. I see this game doing the same thing for me at next Saturday's LAN Party.

I will still play FPS like BF2 and FEAR but when I feel like digging in and going till death I will jump on COH. It has a final score that isn't just the winning of a round, it's the Achievenment of something I have built and it challengens my mind. BF2 doesn't do that for me.

BF2 is still my favorite game. I ain't hate'in. I am just saying that using your BRAIN to win and investing 40min to an hour at a pop is more satasfying. But if you don't have time then this game isn't for you.

I ask again have any of you beatin the Normal AI in a Skirmish?

Thanks,

I can see by your pics that you like "Airborn". I have had the most luck w/ them.
Love being able to drop Rangers and Anti-Tank Crews to F-up German tanks and then take the points.

Have you had any luck using the other Styles? I didn't do well w/ the Armor Style for USA.:banghead:

So I still haven't gotten my retail verion.:banghead:

I played the demo skirmish around 20 times over my 3 day weekend. I only beat the "Normal AI" once. I posted on that here.

The funny thing is that I have played the demo for like 10 hours total and that whole time I didn't know how to "Pause" the game. I tried Googling it and fround that the "Pause Break" key should have done it. It didn't work for me in the demo.

"Escape" key didn't work. So to quit or exit I was "Ctrl+Alt+Delete" and ending the task.

I was exploring the interface in game when I stumbled across the Menue...

Lower Left corner.
Blue Circle.
Above the Mini-Map Labled "Tatical Map"
Inside that Screen/Top Right/ there is a Menue button that will Pause the game.
(or you can choose to save your game.)

I know this is sort of a funny post due to the complete ignorance of how to pause the game. However keep in mind I am talking about the Single Player Demo w/ no documentation. Also I did the tutoral and I don't remember it being in there.

I still can't waite to get the real thing.
