32" lcd tv for gaming??

Hey guyz, thinking of getting me a 32" 1080P lcd tv and replace my current 22" (1680/1050) acer lcd monitor, my setup has an HD4870x2 as u can c in my system specs so i dont think iam gonna be having any problems gaming, another reason for replacing my current lcd is that iam also getting the western digital hd tv media player and thinking of playing 1080p hd moviez and i also got a pci dvb card installed to watch digital tv, so what do you think and what do u suggest on the 32" lcd tv....

LOL im going to be doing the same this next wk, 32inch 1080p but mine will only be an emerson i think and WD player but that and tv will only be for movies, keeping 24inch for games. Might try gaming on it for fun

I use a similar setup myself, a 32" 1080p Sharp Aquos. It's amazing and I've never had a single complaint about it. I use a 9800 GX2 to power it, you shouldn't have any problems with your setup though.

the main thing you'll like, is that most movies and TV shows are the right aspect ratio now - no black bars.

Then you'll get some bluray movies, and find that very few of them are actually 1920x1080 - each bloody movie has its own random aspect ratio just to F with you

its worth it.

you're going a better aspect ratio, higher resolution, bigger screen, and most likely a better panel in the screen.

HDTV's are usually VA panels, which kicks TN's ass. (your 22" screen will be TN film)
you've got the video power for 1080P, so go for it.

as for what brand/model, no idea. i'm a samsung boy, so i didnt bother researching when i got mine.

I got myself a 42" Sceptre And I just love it. Gaming movies, its all rocks at 1080p. The only downside is sitting this close to the screen can't be good for my eyes

I would go with something better then what im getting. Im just getting it cause its the best i could afford. If i could afford the samsung i would grab it but its 750 here lol

a 1080p tv's max resolution is 1920x1080 if you buy a big monitor you will be able to do up to 1600p or higher if its a good monitor

there are a few screens there below $750, but not many - and then he has to worry about the power to game at that res, assuming his games even support it.

but he should get that gateway or if he can the $800 samsung. those monitars look titz

also if he wants to use it as a tv he should get a samsung toc hdtv/monitor. i got the samsung t220hd and its my monitor and i use it to play my ps3. 1680x1050 res on pc and 1080p on ps3. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...ng+toc&Ntk=&CFG=&SpeTabStoreType=&srchInDesc= they got a 25.5" that has 1920x1200 res he could use as a real tv w/ hdmi and monitor. only $350

I bought an Insignia 32inch lcd 1080p (thought it was an Emerson originally)and for gaming it kicks ass, I was almost thinking of getting rid of my 24inch monitor lol. Was playing COD4 for a bit. I recommend the LG 32lh30 or LG 32lh40. Both are amazing tvs with next to no input lag (great for games).
and their Priceerformance ratio is pretty sweet.

Other brands I recommend are
Sony (over priced, but quality),
Sharp (good quality), and
Samsung (Pretty much the best tvs you can get, but again they are pricey)
