Dont you guys think that we should make a techpowerup css or tf2 dedicated server? Id be happy to make one if anyone is interested in the idea.

TPU in CSS? Lmao css is a joke these days, were better off making a server in the cod games or something closely related. TF2 is the same, and you would probably gather more peers from cod etc.

Errr, have you even played TF2? It's not like how CSS is nowadays, not at all.

Anyways, a TPU TF2 server would be boss.

to be honest, it'd be nice to have servers for most of the major games, cod4/5/mw2(soon), left4dead, cs:s, tf2, and maybe even grid... idk just my feelings on it, perhaps having our own server would drive people to visit the site, i know if i come across a new server on a game i'll usually pop by the site, if it's a cool site and has useful info on it, i go back... it could work out to be honest.

If we were to form a proper clan then this would work - obviously it would be down to the members themselves to chip in for the servers. but i agree it would get more hits. but it would be very costly for 1 person to foot the bill for multiple game servers & vent/teamspeak.

If TPU had more members that were interested in 'branching out' & making TPU more then just another techsite that pops up on google search im all for it. - just not in CSS, I got sick of awp noobs & fluke AK47 kills (I hate that fucking gun) if it makes you feel any better to say that I got pwnd by better players & couldnt take it so '/ragequit' I then so be it. but real players use p90's & dual elites - at least that was what my 1st choice load out was unless otherwise - bird rifle.

I've been in about 5 games with noticeable hackers in my 2 years of playing TF2.

I havent seen a single hacker in TF2, you must be playing in shitty servers.(same goes for CSS, only a couple hackers in recent memory) I would be up for a TPU TF2/CSS server, aslong its located within 4000 miles of my general location of course.

well - TPU is based in america so i suppose if talks do progress to the point when you buy a server - it will be local to you. & not me.

Im part of the TPU L4D group but i havent played a single game with them yet unfortunately

Im not a big fan of COD4 online, i have it and i personally dislike it online.

I actually just created a TF2 server today.... so i could have a server up within like wat 15 min cause i have to just transfers the files to another computer.

To connect to the server all you're gonna have to do is open up the console and type

So yea until the TPU server is released you guys can play on that vent...

Right now its 100% done downloading. Ill keep this percent updated.

Once its done im gonna need 1 or 2 people to test it out to make sure they can get on. Any volunters?

Uggh finally after a 2 hour 32,000 file download, the server is finally done downloading, i just started it up and things seem to be working. Can i get some people on it ASAP to confirm that it works.

Again all you do is open up your console and type:

connect tputf2.servegame.com:27015

I might have to check this out...I've had TF2 for a long time but never really progressed very far into it due to the clan never picking up on it. I have had a ton of fun with it in the past, but I bet I don't have 5 hours into it yet tho.

I'll check back tomorrow and see if it's all good and running solid, I'm definately interested! :toast:

Once I get my second PC up and running (yes, the infamous slot 1) I may be able to host a Ventrillo server, but it would be the free client which IIRC only supports 8 connections. I have experiance with hosting vent so that's not a problem

I used to run one, it was quite empty. If people really want it I could put it back up though. On the bright side it's on a 50/50 line 4ms from the AMS-IX, I'm guessing few people should have issues with latency.
