help setting up my network!!!

Luckily they all have Internet, But I want them all to be connected, so I can share files between them
The three wireless machines all recognize each other and can access each other’s file, but while they recognize pc1 they can’t access the files there(thas where all files are)- it says that they dont have permission to acess. This computer(pc1) only recognize a network loaction on pc3 , but can’t acess it. It doesn’t recognize the other computers connected wirelessly.

I 'd really apreaciate the help.

Make sure they all have the same user accounts and all the user accounts are administrators.

they all run administrators.
I feel that the problem is in the connection of pc1 through LAN, the LAN doesnt mix w/ the wireless network. Is there a way i can connect them??

Wireless and LAN shouldn't matter, they should all be on the same network if they are all connected to the same router. All my wireless machines talk flawlessly with my wired machines without any special setup.

You need to make sure your usernames and passwords are the same on all machines, it really makes everything easier, and make sure all the accounts have a password. If the accounts don't have passwords, Windows does some odd things, and sometimes won't allow access to accounts unless they have a password.

Then you should be able to just go into explorer and type \\Computername, and it should connected to the PC you want. You can also use the IP address if the computer name won't work.

Make sure you have enabled file and printer sharing on all the PCs and disabled any firewalls you have running on the PCs. And have actually shared folders on each PC.

Make sure they all have the same user accounts and all the user accounts are administrators.

They dont need the same account name. I assume that they are running vista or win 7. Make sure the folders in question allow the username Everyone read access. Make sure sharing is allowed in the network options in control panel. And that you do not need a password to access it.

The accounts have to exist on the computer sharing the files, well they don't have to exist, but it makes it a hell of a lot easier.

Otherwise, you will get prompted for a username and password when you try to connect to the computer. You can put it in, and save it, but it tends to be flakey, and often forgets and asks again.

Unless you have the guest account enabled, which you shouldn't, ever.

Though maybe it is different with simple file sharing, I've never done it that way though.
