Does anyone play on the Bladefist server as Alliance? I seriously need some help with some quest, and I'm wondering if anyone could get on and help me.

The main problem is that I'm lvl 10 and I'm going into territory with lvl 10+ creatures and I can barely kill them.

If I remember right your playing a NE Priest right? If so I highly recommend heading out to Elwynn Forest (Human Starting Area). I could never stand the NE area, and a lot of others felt that same way. Also will be easier for you to solo that way, sometimes when a zone gets to hard you have to move to another thats around the same level, then come back later and finish it up.

When Vanilla WoW was out I had 3 60's, when BC was out I had 5 70's, and when WotLK was out I had 4 80's. And with any of those characters I never did any grinding, just did quests to max level. If you don't mind grinding go for it, but I can't stand it, the big xp jumps from quests help me deal with leveling.

Also I recommend Carbonite over Quest Helper, I'm not sure if QH got all their mem leak issues worked out and such, but I had arrows on my map all over and the auto zooming map. Plus turns your map into something you can zoom in with scroll wheel on mouse.

you'll def need some help along the way if your going to level a priest, they're a bitch to level for a new toon, however usually just be patient, spend a bit more time in each zone before moving on so that you get the extra level or half a level before moving on. I have made many other characters since this. But its just like what I'm dealing now. I get to lvl 10 and all of the sudden the quest get me to places where there are crap load of high lvl creatures and i can barely kill them. Like today when I created my Dwarf Paladin.

I have had 4 other characters ranging to be all different and they all pretty much come to the same point. So I just deleted them all and kept my Priest.

I don't think you will need any help when leveling a priest or any other class. Some classes are better at leveling, but none are impossible, or even hard to level solo. You might have to skip somethings and come back later, but no big deal.

Okay, well I started a NE Warrior because I like melee.

And i though all quest end up at the same place and you have to do all of them.

Warrior is my favorite class in WoW, I actually have 2 80 Warriors . But they nerfed them pretty badly, the quests you are doing will all end up in the same place if you keep playing NE's. Humans start in Elwynn Forest, Gnomes/Dwarfs start in Kharanos, NE's start in Teladrasil, and Draenei start in Azuremyst.

So if you want to see another area you will have to roll another race, or run there. As an NE you can easily head over to Azuremyst and start questing, thats a good place to go, but around 18 you will need to leave or find people to group with to finish it up.

But really it's not hard to setup a good plan, can just look at zone levels and quests on thottbot, see what fits you level and head there. Grab everything and don't turn them in one at a time, plan a nice loop around the map and swing back for a full level. Using that method I actually skipped levels when I was doing the triple xp promotion. The highest level I had skipped was like 57, felt good.

For shits and giggles when I was lvling up my priest, i used that guide. It went pretty quick. Granted i did do a LOT of instances though.

Instances help a lot, or can hurt a lot. I find that there are a lot of bad players playing the game. Even when I was playing on some of the best servers, it's fine if they are bad and are just having fun, but that doesn't make it fun to party with them. So for the most part when leveling I just stuck to what I could do solo.

Before XP was made easier in BC and then in WotLK I had managed to go from 1-60 on my Draenei Shaman (Right at BC release) in 6days 11 hours, that was while doing JC/Mining/Cooking to 300. You can set a good pace if you just ignore others and mow crap down, also had to deal with damn BE Pallys while doing that.

As a priest u want to spec shadow to level. at level 10 u want to do mind blast, shadow word pain, wand a bit, and mind blast after cooldown. and wand till dead. Step back in between casts given its a melee unit.

When you get it hit holy fire as your first move then mind blast.

power word shield does help survivability. but isnt necessary later.

IMHO if your gonna go priest, shadow is the only way to do it. I have a lvl 80 shadow priest with dual spec. Main spec is shadow and secondary is holy. But you dont have to worry about that for a bit.

It's been a looong time since I played but if you are a priest I would recommend speccing Shadow, you shouldnt really have to grind anywhere in this game since there are plenty of quests to keep you busy, if anything go to the other starting areas like others have suggested and do those quests.

If you are playing a warrior, then remember that they are very gear dependent.

Well I'm keeping my Priest since he is my very first character. And I'm just going to mess around with my Rogue and Warrior, mainly my rogue. My priest is a shadow priest so far, its just I have to grind I guess to defeat those lvl 10-13 Giant Spyders.

One thing that I would like to suggest is to not be in a rush to level. A lot of people rush to get to end game levels and they burn themselves out. So just enjoy your time with it and just have fun.

Also it may take you a bit to learn the ropes of what to use in what order for your powers...

If my memory serves me right, you should have power word : Shield... always make sure that is up and while you are fighting things, you should have a couple of dots and Holy Smite? I used to start off with holy smite then the dot that has a small cast, then your instant cast dot..

After that just smack things with your weapon and keep the dots up. When you are getting low on health, put your shield up and then cast your heal. You will not get the spell push back if you shield is up so it saves on some critical time.
